Yeah, I wish he could be mentored by someone like Xande or Roger. I think his athleticism has gotten him so far that it’s masked technical flaws. Nicky mounting him and moving into such a high position so quickly is unacceptable for grappler of Rida’s pedigree (or at least it should be). He would benefit so much from being slowed down and forced to control opponents around his size.

My armchair comment: Haisam is extremely explosive and quick, incredible length and maybe even ideal body for ju jitsu; but he lacks refinement and efficiency, relies on explosive movement and athleticism more than anything, but that would mean with a top level school his potential could be even higher than Nicky’s perhaps. Nicky is levels rn, idc what anyone says he’s absolutely evolving at a rapid pace in which he would ultimately be THE guy in the world in a year or two

Why am I becoming team Nicky now? He's truly impressive and I think will eventually beat Gordon.

Haisam is good but he got his black belt with local level guys at Carpe Diem in Tokyo. At this level, he needs a proper school and refine his technique.
