They might actually win this tournament playing like this. A lot of people have pushed an agenda against Gareth Southgate and think that he’s a fraud and a terrible manager, but at the end of the day, he’s taken them to 3 semifinals in the last 4 major tournaments. After 5 games against Slovakia Slovenia Denmark Serbia and Switzerland, they have won 1 game in 90 minutes and have also scored 5 goals and they struggled in a group where all the teams that advanced to the next round failed to win a single game and they were the only team that won a game. This is 2004 Greece all over again, this is the exact same way that Portugal won the EUROs 8 years ago where they finished 3rd in their group and struggled to win games in regular time.
