Ban the media completely around the camp. Southgate & the players have literally invited them in and they’ve shown they can’t be trusted. There is no reason at all for the media to be watching training sessions.

What a bunch of wobble. If these journalists learn our tactics and formation before a game they have a duty to keep it in house until the time England are happy for them to say so. No wonder the players and staff feel the country is fighting against them.

Not leaking the team if you are somehow privy to it doesn't make you a 'cheerleader' tbh. It's just putting your personal support of the team ahead of your profession. Not saying they should do that, but it doesn't automatically make you a cheerleader if you choose to. I don't think anyone wants the media to act as an FA mouthpiece, but leaking the team ahead of the game could be seen as directly affecting England.

If he plays Trippier against Dumfries, we may as well not turn up.

Southgate has suffered no significant injuries (depending on your view of McGuire), no sending offs, no dodgy refereeing decisions. In 4 tournaments!! England dont have better players. Netherlands have much better defense, midfield is comparable and England have better attack. However, based on Kane's performance, even that is similar level. So based on personel, there is no advantage imo, therefore its about managers and there's only one winner there...

Netherlands don't have that conversation... Ake, Van Dijk, Gakpo and Depay... Pre-tournament and why England were favourites: "we have so much attacking power going forwards" No 9, No 10 and No 11...

England shouldn't be changing tactics mid tourney anyway. They should have a set tactic they play to make the best use of their best players and every other team would know what that tactic is. The only surprise here is he has been picking ridiculously bad tactics so bad that nobody knows how we will be lining up. How many teams are here changing tactics every game? We are supposed to be the best team here so our tactics should he set in stone and other teams should be changing their tactics to get around us.

Somewhere I think the media really is failing - I know about England. I know what to expect from Southgate. I would have guessed our team more accurately than the supposed 'leak'. What I really want to know more about is our opponents/formations/starting line up/players/strength/weaknesses. Far too little talk about that.

I feel like Southgate is telling the players to keep it tight until the last 15-20 mins , I think they’re being told to hold back and as long as we’re in it till the latter stages he fancies a piece of quality or good fortune will wi it … dangerous if it goes wrong

I like and above all respect Simon Jordan as a man and so tend to agree with his take on matters. Whereas I can stand Gary Liniker or Darran Southgate and have no respect for either of them. Alex Crook is the second biggest grifter in sports, behind Kaveh Solhekol on Sky Sports. Unfortunately for me, they are the least of the problems in football at the moment. I'm sick of seeing grown men who lack any kind of self-respect cheat by rolling around on the floor, screaming over the slightest bit of contact (if there is any) for the entire match. Mediocre players are being called 'world class,' goalkeepers can't even catch a ball, and cowardly players halfheartedly try to head the ball to name a few. Ex-professional players praise England's performance against Switzerland, calling it amazing, but it was diabolical. They had one shot on target in 90 minutes, and every cross they made was to no one, not even close to anyone. People have been fed this nonsense for years and repeatedly told that it's great, to the point where they actually believe it. The powers that be have taken a sport that I loved for 40-odd years and turned it into the abomination I watch today. I don't expect it to be as brutal as the '70s and '80s, but some middle ground between then and now would be great.

Nonsense, We have players that play for some of the best hight tempo football playing teams in the world, Liverpool, arsenal, City, Real Madrid, villa, and so on, do they just forget how to play like that once they are with England?
