He dommed Rodri in the FA cup final, for one thing. If ETH had set that side up in a more solid way, giving Mainoo a better platform, all the talk about 'is he disciplined enough off the ball" would have never come about, and people would have been more easily comparing him with gavi/pedri etc...

Brother we all love Kobbie Mainoo, but call a spade a spade, last season the two most influential players on the pitch for us was Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot, Mainoo and Garnacho joint third and Onana fifth. It's subjective, but i think most United fans will agree with me on this. Edit: i forgot about my boy mctomtom, he definitely has to be in the top 3, he won us a few games with his goals last season. I won't sell mctominay for less than £80m, he is not the best player when it comes to his technical ability, but he can get goals and thats a valuable asset to have in a squad, and he also adds physicality to squad.

Didn’t he save the season by scoring aginst Liverpool, Wolves winner 97min, Fa Cup winner and MOTM. Don’t know what he should do more on his first season.😂

Kobbie Mainoo is another one of those young players with a high ceiling whose potential cannot be doubted. Due to the dysfunctional system at Manchester United there were some doubts as to whether or not he’s capable of being a starter with the England national team ignoring the fact that at times last season he was their best player and he was a shining light in a struggling team where a lot of players didn’t play well, but seeing his recent performances at the EUROs and how he was bossing the midfield against the Netherlands, this kid is absolutely special. In a span of 12 months, you’re telling me that he went from an unknown player to being one of the first names on the team sheet for club and country at the age of 19 and he’s had a positive impact on his team and you can see that if you’re a person who actually watches Manchester United week in week out and even England won’t be in the final without him. I’m telling you every time I watch Mainoo play, at his age, it seems like I’m watching a guy who’s already world class because he masters the basic fundamentals of football, he’s another technically gifted player that this country has produced as he has silky dribbling skills, he’s so composed and calm with the ball at his feet he’s a great passer as a lot of energy and a top level work rate as well meaning that he can cover ground while also producing magic with the ball. Off the eye test, he’s just that good and stats won’t define his true value to a team and it’s easy to say that “he has 0 goals and 0 assists at the EUROs”, football isn’t just about G/A a midfielder shouldn’t be judged by their ability to get goals and assists because what Mainoo does is unbelievable. The sky is the limit for him and I can’t wait to see just how good he’ll be in the next couple of years.

i can give credit to southgate on anything other than about mainoo.. mainoo was like 4th choice in his plan behind kalvin philips, trent, and galagher, so mainoo had to forced his way in to england starting 11 and proved that he deserved the place..

Mainoo is integral to Man United. He won his first FA Cup and now he may win his first EURO at 19!. He's just wonderful to watch.
