Full press conference: Sheriff Grady Judd gives update on deputy who was shot

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said one of his deputies is lucky to be alive after a suspect aimed a gun at his chest and fired the weapon. The deputy was wearing a bulletproof vest and will be survive the encounter.
He also credits the St. Michael’s medallion that the deputy never leaves home without and the "good Lord" for saving his life. This is the second time in eight days that a Polk County deputy was shot in the line of duty.

You admire perhaps the dirtiest sheriff in the nation?? You do know that, despite his love of TV cameras, he refuses to even consider body cameras for his deputies. You know his deputies commit crimes at twice the rate of the average population right? You see him spin his filthy narrative because there is NO ONE and NO VIDEO to contradict whatever story he wants to make up. So quit being a sheep and think for yourself not the propaganda this fools spits out.

Another commentor who doesn't realize that law enforcement officials can ONLY arrest and charge people with crimes. They CANNOT PUBLICLY CONVICT anyone in a REAL case, especially PRIOR to a suspect being convicted in a court of law, by a judge or jury. However he can legally deceive the people by presenting totally fabricated incidents as if they happened in real life, which is what he does repeatedly in this and ALL of his other STORYTIME presentations.

His moral standards had to be learned at an early age. His no-nonsense attitude as well. I'm not sure I've never met anyone with the moral compass that Grady Judd has. That is saying something in my experience. I digress. If you weren't taught the types of standards, the good Sheriff practices between birth and age 7 you'd be wasting your time. His values are set to a really high standard, and it shows. I truly think, if you want to be like the good Sheriff, have integrity, show it, and practice it at all times. For those who don't know what integrity is. Please allow an example. If you walk into a room and see a 100 dollar bill on a table, would you take it? Nobody, but you would ever know that it was you who took it. It isn't yours. Still, nobody would ever know. Would you take the $100? Ask yourself that question and answer honestly that will gauge how much integrity you have. There's no such thing as part time integrity either. I believe Sheriff Grady Judd exhibits the exact principles law enforcement should strive exhibit. Bless him and his department.

Thankfully he survived, but left the patrol, he sustained serious injury to his kidneys from the beating he took. We need to keep all first responders, people working in trauma/icu areas in serious prayer. We’ve seen things we will never forget & carry with us on a daily basis. Only by the strength of God do we get through this.

Many years ago, when I lived in Southeastern Utah, on I-70 we had a State Trooper who pulled over a speeding vehicle late at night. He got out of his vehicle, and simultaneously the four men who were in the stopped vehicle accosted the Trooper, beat him up, took his handgun and fired at him, point blank a number of times. For some reason, the handgun locked up and he was not killed. But the four guys proceeded to beat him somemore til the Trooper was unconscious, then sped off. A passersby noticed the officer down and called it in. During the investigation, they tested the handgun and it fired correctly and they couldn't fine a reason for the multiple misfires. All, I remember from that time is that the officer survived. But the State never knew why the gun misfires, and I don't remember if they ever caught those four men. But, I knew many officers, State and County, who all agreed that the good Lord protected that Officer.
