- This sheriff starts to lose credibility mentioning 'blessed' several times. - But then when he's asked why he and his staff aren't wearing masks, it gets worse. - His reply "I'm not going to answer that question" is bad enough... - ...but then comes "President Trump comes here, he don't have to wear a mask either" That's a public servant in uniform, on duty, at a press conference, flouting basic measures. Basic measures in place to lessen the likelihood of spreading a deadly virus from person to person. And he stands there in ignorant defiance...an irresponsible ignoramus.

@@franthar First of all, you are assuming that the perp would have died had he been shot. Second, based on the Sheriff's statements, I don't think the guy would have been charged at all. It would be easy to make the case that you were afraid that if the perp got the car that your life and the lives of others would be put in danger. Do you think every justified shooting requires the other party to have a gun? This isn't the case.

Actually, this is calculated. Please, bear with my lengthy comment as this is not a simple thing to someone who I assume has never learned about this. In the end of the Russian Empire, the Soviet politicians were at the same level of power in the media and government as the radical left is in America today. The Soviet judges would release criminals of essentially all crimes, including rape and murder, justifying this by saying it was the Moral and human choice, they should be given the chance to redeem themselves to society. This of course led to an increase in violence and disorder, the soviets blamed this on the Imperial Russian government, and they gained favor among the uneducated proletariat. They used this favor to oust the Imperial government through violent upheaval, and within a 10 year period, the entire Russian Empire fell to Communist social engineered science. These people are not stupid; stupid in that they don't know what they're doing. They DO know what they're doing, they have manuals to perform these actions written by Marx and Lenin. They are performing the same steps exactly.

I would watch Sheriff Grady Judd just to hear his storytelling, brilliant. I reckon however that Grady grossly overestimated this criminals 5 brain cells, he may well have 5 but they are all dead, probably never been activated since the day he was born, he should do his full time in prison, then have parole denied, then spend the rest of his miserable life behind bars!!

I live in a modern country. Not some shithole US state. Its absolutely UNIMAGINABLE that a cop would encourage on TV normal citizens to shoot with a gun someone that doesnt represent a risk to their lives. Or to run over someone with a truck to avoid being rear-ended on the highway. The absolute lack of respect for human life should get him fired right away. And all the cases he ever worked on should be reviewed. His job is to be impartial and clearly he isnt. Thank God i dont live in your 3rd world country.

Its a matter of opinion. Everywhere else on earth people thinks the sheriff is a maniac and the reporter is spot on. In fact its so ridiculous to people living in modern countries that it looks like a piece from the Onion. In every modern country, you are not allowed to kill people unless they represent a credible and immediate threat to your life. Not because he is sitting in your truck and it pisses you off. Doesnt mean its OK to steal people's car. It just mean you cant kill people unless they are actively trying to kill you. To have a cop say otherwise on TV is ... unimaginable, i have no words for it. Then, there is also the suggestion that a truck should run over someone to avoid being rear ended. I know its a popular subject in red states to run over people with cars but everyone else on earth thinks "terrorist" or "animals" or "savages". Again, doesnt make the black dude right or a good guy. It just makes you guys animals. Finally, and this one is small bus special IMO. How the fuck can you do an armed robbery ... if you dont have a weapon? Small bus special i tell you. Again, the black dude is a POS and we'll trial and jail him. But what part of ARMED ROBBERY dont you understand? Oh and yeah, there is also the masks. But i mean its pretty minor compared to inciting people to do themself justice and murder people for stealing or just crossing the freeway. Feels a bit like Duterte's Philippines. If I'm in the store when someone trys stealing my car, I'm not going to try and stop him with deadly force.. This sheriff's record is outstanding though, they haven't had an unsolved murder in decades, his detectives are on point, prosecutors are on point. He does these dramatic press briefings and says the things he says, to prevent criminals from trying shit in his territory. I believe the point is to send a message.

Sheriff Rick Bradshaw is more well rounded in my opinion he speaks well he's a fine leader he will lock up criminals and he support his troops

Sheriff Judd was my professor in college when he was a Major with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. I have worked in government and in private practice in the legal system and can unequivocally say that he is demonstrative of precisely what we need in law enforcement, governance and leadership. That man is a 100% Grade-A, top-tier human; he does his job (to serve and protect) and doesn’t make excuses for those who make his job necessary. THANK YOU, Sheriff Judd. God Speed

My question is where is the handgun the sheriff's office forgot in a burger king. A hobo picked it up and they were asking for help finding it on the news. The sheriff looked frustrated. Did the guy do the carjackings with a weapon or not? That is what armed carjacking is. The reporter rattled this sheriff, his personality changed when he had to answer harder questions.

He didnt tell what happened so much as try to entertain the crowd. And I fully admit that it was entertaining as hell....and if he were a comedian, it would have been great. He puts in his own assumptions and fills in thoughts with his own. Unless he has access to every person in the vacinity of a crimes' thoughts, what he said was fluff meant to flesh out the story.

I think people in Polk county are more confident that local law enforcement will back them up. In my state you can carry a gun legally but if you pull it and "Don't shoot" they will charge you with a crime amd take your rights and guns away. People are scared to defend themselves.

"Sandra" Everyone except the reporter or Michael or whatever his name is. I live in Pasco Co., I'm proud to live this close to Polk Co. My all time favorite, was during the press release about the killer who was shot many times. The reporter asked why he was shot x number (I forgot the #, seems like 70 or 80 times). The Sheriff answered that the team ran out of bullets. Another case a few years later he was asked how many times they shot this guy and the Sheriff answered "Enough". I think that was the guy on a bike that overpowered two deputies and shot them. One was able to return fire.

He is also pro-Second Amendment which is refreshing. When I gas up my car, I lock it up, keep the keys in my pocket and check my surroundings. It only takes seconds to lose your car. If I am approached, they are going to be challenged when they pull on the door handle and find it's locked. Meanwhile, I will be out of sight calling 911! Low cost tracking devices are available online and I highly recommend their purchase. This will enable to law enforcement to locate your car and with luck, the thieves! The faster you recover your vehicle, the better the chances of getting it back intact. I would disinfect my vehicle if it were ever stolen and recovered in tack, that is for sure!

@Paul Provenzano The Greater Lakeland / Winter Haven metropolitan area is listed in the Top 10 on US as fastest growing areas So we dont need a demagogue to tell visitors or others to "behave" That's not their job to enforce their self ascribed code of conduct on the citizens of Polk County It is NOT Grady Judd's county! it belongs to the citizens of Polk County
