FULL POWER! Incredible Typhoon performance take offs 🔥✈️
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
"I'm going straight up!", a fighter pilot gestures to the camera before hitting the afterburners, shooting along the runway and climbing straight up into the sky.
At RAF Coningsby pilots of the Eurofighter Typhoons sometimes put on a show for plane spotters by performing vertical climbs straight up into the sky.
While it's an impressive show, it's important these elite pilots practice these high performance maneuvers to react to threats where they may have to engage enemy aircraft in combat.
The Lincolnshire RAF base is home to a Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) element of the Royal Air Force, maintaining weapon-ready fighters capable of deploying at super-sonic speeds to intercept threats in NATO air-space at a moments notice.

@@CobraEmergency me too. I was in cadets and flew a couple times, but I’d sell my kid for a shot of one of those
I visit Lakenheath and Coningsby a few times a year. The F15 unlimited takeoffs & climbs can be really spectacular, but the Typhoon is at another level.
WOW, just WOW!
This is probably your best video yet. Awesome filming Cobra.
Awsome, obviously practicing quick alert. One of these buzzed me in north Yorkshire on its way up into the mountains when I was walking. I hit the ground like a sack of spuds.

Did the same to me in Cumbria doing a low altitude pass over the hills. Deafening is an understatement.
Tyhpoon jet...nice. 👍🙏
Was watching these roll out over the north sea on a well known flight tracking app. Lovely stuff!
That's one of the reasons it's one of the best fighters in the world. No other airframe has better kinetic energy than the Typhoon.

F22 calls, but the kinetic warfare proven record of the Typhoon/Eurofighter makes it a far more prestigious weapons platform.
Excellent 👍👍

Magnificent takeoffs on these Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 and Merry Christmas 🎅🎅😎😎🎄🎄

How do the brakes hold the aircraft back with all that power, shouldn't it just push the plane along with locked wheels? Just wondering.
Wow
I tried not to be too self propogandising over NATO as a British man but after seeing the performance of Russia I'm awed that this is a small example of the entire alliances capability whereas the russkies can't even hit a toddler properly with a cruise missile

Great Britain 🇬🇧 is the only country in the world that can have 30,000 troops deployed anywhere in 48 hours and Russia can’t even take its neighbour. Always thought there all bark
GOOD JOB FAIR
sooner this this flying around than the f35, sorry, but just not a fan. imo, they should have never retired the tornado gr4. thanks for the amazing footage 👍

Did the pilot do a NVT or was it a VT ?

"At RAF Coningsby pilots of the Eurofighter Typhoons sometimes put on a show for plane spotters by performing vertical climbs straight up into the sky." No? They don´t do a show for plane spotters, because an unrestricted climb involves coordination with all air traffic controllers for all airspaces above the airfield. The airspace has to be free to prevent any conflicts with other traffic. Nobody will do this to do "a show" to impress some guys leaning on a fence. 🤦♂

Thanks for the info I never knew that
Why not you planespot some airliners that would be cool
Look at what's coming out of those engines... And how short a time they take - and how close to the ground they are - before they're vertical (with engines pointed groundwards). Why do you think Coningsby holds the record for hottest place in the UK? Is It: (A) Climate Change? Or (B) Aircraft? Wonder why the vast majority of the top temperatures on the hottest day Britain has ever seen came from villages right by airports. Sometimes at the end of runways.
😂😂😂😂
"Very nice shootings", as Greta would say. And talking of monotones, what have they done to the aircraft paint scheme ? Gave Squadron Leader Pead a belated virtual wave back . . . Don't them Tiffies climb well . Beds and soft furnishings, crockery and kichen ware , ladies underwear . . Going-up ! Anybody know what function the horizontal strakes just aft of the pilot position perform ? Are they meant to counteract roll when the pilot waggles the foreplanes ?
These bloody planes are so irritating. I live literally beside raf lossiemouth and I see these every day All day and all bloody night. The noise is literally deffening . Maybe there good for the tourists but not for the residents that's for sure.

That's on you. It is not clever to buy a house near an air base, and then expect the planes to be quiet. 🤦♂️

@@RockTo11 I laugh at people who bought houses next to the former RAF Finningley and campaigned against it re-opening as DSA airport because of the noise of modern airliners... I laughed most when XH558 moved in and started doing display practice, those 4 RR Olympus engines at full power with that iconic howl. I miss seeing that old girl stretch her wings.
