Tons of countries send their aircraft to nevada for training.

Nellis is a great assignment, but that flightline is hotter than blue blazes during the summer. Watching this brings back a lot of memories.

I can attest to that. Went to Nellis from Langley a few times in the late 70’s. This must be winter time with all the jackets. I was always there in the summer. It was pretty good fun though.

Being hosts to the granddaddy of all Air Forces is always an honour 🇬🇧🇺🇲

Raf EUF pilots have one of the best callsigns, ANARCHY, PSYCHO, DREAD, GUNFIGHT, APOLLO to name a few.

Nellis AFB has a big aviation show every Nov including airplanes that go back to WW II. A great show and worth the trip wherever you come from. And Las Vegas is just a few miles away.

Excellent video. Especially the KC-135R that was doing the refueling. I crewed that particular aircraft 65-8018 for 7-8 years. I was a Crew Chief in the 155th Air Refueling Group. Keep them flying.

Love the way the pilot walks around shaking stuff to make sure it’s all screwed on, for a moment I thought he was going to kick the tyres as well!

I saw these at an air show once. They were bloody loud.

Always cracks me up when people still call it Eurofighter Typhoon. We just call it 'Typhoon'. You don't often read someone writing 'Boeing' F18 Hornet

As fourth-gen fighters go, the Typhoon is incredibly agile. Loving this action.

That will be for ww3, which has already started. It is pathetic, evil, unnecessary and disgusting all at once. No talk of peace, just escalation against a nuclear superpower that feels existentially threatened by Nato, and for perfectly logical reasons. It is the Cuban missile crisis part 2,on steroids. If the British Typhoons flew out last week then I think I may have seen them in transit over Northern England over the Pennines at about roughly 40,000ft.( The airliners are usually at 32-34,000ft) Flying at intervals one after the other. We had Typhoons at low level up and down the Dale the same day, but the high ones were headed off somewhere distant for sure.

Please tell me why you estimated their altitude at 40,000 feet. Even an airliner is hard to spot in cruise unless they are producing condensation trails, and the Euro Fighter is quite a small airplane.

This happens every week but very low. They come through the Lake District valleys and either turn over the Cumbria coast or continue over the Solway into Scotland. The same thing happens with F22s and F15s.

@@mitseraffej5812 They fly over Poland aswell sometimes even 40k+ and you can see the cons, easily you can track them with binoculars...plus they usually turn on their transponders while at it, the highest I saw was 49k.

@@mitseraffej5812 1) Binoculars 2) Comparison with airliners I could see showing up on my tracker app with a confirmed height 3) Guesswork....my tape measure is not long enough. They were perfectly visible with the naked eye and were leaving contrails. Also 40,000 is about right for a fuel efficient long transit flight by a Typhoon......at a guess. Hope that helps answer your question.

Australia is somewhat linked in via the SEATO alliance. South East Asia Treaty Organization. Same thing as NATO basically.

No. They cannot fly any faster than the aircraft that refuels them. Therefore, it would take about eleven hours.

I think it is the standard RAF "Barley" Grey colour - also used on the Tornado ADV (F3) interceptor and Phantom F4 -named after the inventor of the shade I believe........

These jets had been told by President Biden to fly in the opposite direction of the Chinese intelligence gathering balloon so they wouldn't interfere with the balloon getting lots of intel on the Air Force bases across the U.S. Biden says that China is not a threat but our friend and we should let them fly surveillance balloons over our sovereign skies anytime they wish.

Gripen/ Sweden don't go to every Red Flag the RAF are the same but often Eurofighters from other countries go. 2009 is the last time we had a French Rafale as they took their ball home after 10 minutes and don't want to play any more.

John Nunn.....Are you referring to the pilots shaking hands with the Crew Chief and maybe other maintenance personnel? That pilot knows that he wouldn't be flying at all if the maintenance men & women were not keeping the planes in the air. The Crew Chief is the last person who lets the pilot know that everything looks great and is ready to go. What you call ..."all that shaking hands crap" is the respect and trust that the pilot is showing the Crew Chief and the rest of maintenance. These are highly trained enlisted men & women who take their job very seriously and very personally.

@@johnnunn8688 ....That sounds good too..!! I was in the US Navy way back in 1971-75 and in a squadron and I was the Navy version of the Air Force Crew Chief, called a Plane Captain. I know first hand about the respect and trust between the pilots and us Plane Captains. The squadron was permanently land based at N.A.S., Norfolk, Va. One time some of our planes flew up to the state of Washington for exercises. Before they flew home, the officers bought some fresh Salmon to bring back. When they got back, late at night, I was there to bring them in. They gave me a big piece of Salmon. My room mate had a toaster oven in our barracks room and we lined a baking dish with foil, put the Salmon in it, added sliced and squeezed lemons, and butter & pepper, wrapped it up and let it slow cook for a while. Man, was that delicious...!!!

Take them to Ukraine, they cannot be amazing unless are tested against a qualified enemy

Was looking at my Falklands War medal the other day, lets hope the Argentinian governemnt never send their young men off to die again in an invasion of a place that is not yours. It is not British either, it belongs to the people of the Falklands and was clonised before the COUNTRY OF ARGENTINA EXISTED. If i was to meet an Argentinian who fought there i would hug him like a relative. we men on ground who were cold and wet and were kiling each other, not for the Island but for the policial leaders.

Maybe the UK taxpayers should stop paying taxes to the king, and use that money for something better. Anything would be better than giving tax money to a bunch of spoiled "royal" brats and the senile king. They already have plenty of money. UK needs to get smart. End the monarchy, end it's socialist policies, and be more right wing. They already left the communist European Union, which is a great thing, but Britain still has a long way to go.
