and most of all should have been on TV this is "OUR" miss america and for the hundred I should have been in at least Atlantic CIty they have lots of casinos and venues there, its like running the indy 500 at bristol motor speedway or atlanta they are bothed famed but not the same. at least they are still natural born ladies not someone that just thinks they are a lady. I am sarry no matter how much you try to redefine, you cant change genetics that are set from conception sarry,

This was the most god awful production for Miss America I have ever seen. It is so cheap, trashy, and no class what so ever. Extremely gone down hill...that program looks like it is on life support. It is a shame to see this for the 100th anniversary...it should have been so much more special.

There was a huge scandal recently with emails released from the former ceo/director/head of the M.A .organization which said thing such as calling former miss American winners "c**ts" , as well shaming them & calling fat& saying they should die, saying they're useless malcontents & other just wild& misogynistic really crazy stuff. This caused the company that was funding the production & payments etc to pull their contract after the board didn't take action when this was brought to the board privatley. After everything eventually went public they did finally have to fire a number of those head guys responsible for the emails and now someone else in charge but I'm not sure if /it doesn't seem like they've obtained another deal for the funding and such they had before.

I think the decision for Miss Alaska is the good one. Congratulation Miss Alaska. I wonder if she is the one going to participate in Miss Universe 2022 in December 2022?

Cool of you guys to post this. We need more people talking and giving attention to this. Miss America. Hell, I think this might be better than Miss Universe. And these girls in this competition seem real serious. These girls are about to go on and change the world.

after all its boring nothing can beat walk show and entertainment like Miss USA and Miss Universe, people want and care for the show not the winner like MA. Now its the start of downfall for Miss America Competition. Who wants to watch this after eliminating swimsuit and later the evening gown?and now the production was a total mess. To think its 100th year of Miss America and this is how they produce a show? Look Miss USA and Miss Universe production, its likable and exciting to watch.

@@lbee8158 they could have at least kept it in atlantic city for the 100th and on tv, it was a watershed time, now I get it swimware is revealing but it was how the whole thing started, if not wanting show that much flesh go for a one piece or a bit more modest swimsuit, at least for the 100 its ain't miss america anymore but at least they are real genuine ladies and not men that think they are at least on the national level, and they still have the talent portion it was my favorite part and its what sets the scholorship contest apart from any other national pageant, but they could have atleast kept it in atlantic city there are other casinos there as well even if not boardwalk hall, casting tradition aside for the sake of change alone is often not good and strips away part of the experiance, seems few want to fight for the ethos of what makes things what they are or they not only dont fight for them they cast them at first whim of conflict. whats next having the indy 500 on a roadcoarse in the suburbs of indy or selling the brickyard to build an office park?

WTF?!?!?! This was supposed to be the 100th Miss America ... NBC and/or ABC, you could NOT broadcast this on your network?? The sound was HORRIBLE ... The lighting was HORRIBLE ... The Mohegan Sun is a BEAUTIFUL place and whomever put this elementary-school production on needs to be fired!!! Probably the worst thing that has happened to Miss America since the 1952 winner, Yolande Betbeze, absolutely refused to photographed in her swimsuit, causing the sponsor, Catalina, to withdraw it's sponsorship and create their own pageant, Miss USA. Probably the worst thing that has happened to Miss America since the beautiful, talented and most definitely the BEST Miss America EVER, Miss America 1984, Vanessa Williams, was stripped of her crown because unauthorized photos that she did NOT give her consent to ever be released/published, and posed for while in college was given to Penthouse Magazine for money!! The owners of Miss America need to take a meeting with Crystle Stewart, the owner of Miss USA and something needs to be done before this once gold-standard pageant becomes obsolete!

Crystal Stewart has been suspended from Miss USA due to claims--still being investigated--of corruption in the selection of Miss Texas for the current title. The allegations of rigging came from *several* of the state winners, and the Miss Universe organization has stepped in for the very first time to determine what actually happened. It is possible that Miss USA will not be permitted to compete at Miss Universe. So much for hoping Stewart can offer any advice about how to televise a pageant.

This has changed so much since Bert Parks. I agree, it's become boring. You don't get to see fashion nor the swimsuit competition.Nor performance in the beginning of the pageant to have all the girls introduced first, making them feel special, important! I don't think it's fair. When these contestant are asked questions, they're asked too many questions. The constants answer by talking jiberish, by trying to get every point across. You can tell these contestants are a nervous wreck, they want to get everything in. There's a difference in the personal interview. Contestants seem more relaxed. There should be a time limit for these questions when asked in public.

I miss the classy presentations and the style from back in the day when Bert Parks was hosting. Now it seems almost like a job interview ... not taking away anything from these competitors ... just not liking the new format and the way everything is presented. And ... not liking all the screaming and hysteria when someone is announced.
