If they'd left the tower how it was originally for about 40 years the fire couldn't have happened in the way it did. It was adding the cladding to make it look "nicer" by making it more colourful that allowed it to spread so much. Ordinary concrete doesn't burn.

It was so much simpler then. If you saw a C Stock coming, it was definitely Hammersmith and City line and if it was D Stock, District line.

I've done this journey all the way from Barking to Hammersmith & vice-versa :)

Wow I miss these old trains. They were quite loud and creaky but it’s nostalgic to watch them in service after all these years. I used to take the H&C line everyday to get to school with my dad.

I miss the C Stock Shame That Some S stock used to stop at the sidings where most of them go to the garage but c stock used most of them on the siding same as d stock district

For me, the C stock is the best subsurface type; S stock is indeed wonderful, but the C is more lovely.
