Ranked Choice Voting is only bad for Dorthy Moon and other more extreme candidates! We are all Idahoans, she is bad for Idaho!

I was born and raised in Southern California. When I was 18 I’d had enough and moved to Northern California…then that became liberal because those who lived in San Francisco moved further north to more affordable housing. I then moved to more Central California, which also turned liberal when those in Los Angeles moved to find more affordable housing. What happened in each of those scenarios? The affordable housing/better neighborhood seekers flipped those areas and suppressed the conservative voters, raised housing prices and property taxes and pretty much ruined the way of life and values of generational residents. I’ve lived in over 4 states, “chasing the conservative dream”, and thought I had found it here in Idaho. Let me tell you what I see now: the same thing I have seen since 1980. People move to an area not for the values of the state or established community, they move for their own self-centered reasons, and they bring along their “soft” liberal minded agendas with them and soon enough, YOU need to change because you have a problem. Then there’s the push to “make things better”, as if things weren’t good enough their arrival. Before anyone accuses me of hatred, I don’t hate anyone. I’ve seen this movie play out many times before and never with a beneficial or fair outcome for everyone: farmers and ranchers have to give up their land; newcomers don’t like the smells, the way people drive, their opinions, morals, values. This state is already influenced by outsiders, those who have recently moved, social media and entertainment industries. If you want to keep it conservative, you have a lot of work to do.

Speaking as a 3rd generation native Idahoan. I've watched our great state go from a great place to live to a congested, overpriced mess. Yes, much of that occurred when Idaho got "discovered". However, it's important to remember who discovered it and what population cohort is disproportionately represented in the transplants who've moved here over the past 30 years. Hint: it's not "liberals" or Democrats. Simply look at the voter registration rolls over that time frame, and it becomes quickly evident where the majority of the blame for Idaho's current problems lay. Further evidence is easily found by recognizing which political party has held an entrenched super-majority at nearly every level of Idaho government for the past 40 years. Again, it's not "liberals" or Democrats. As usual, the facts provide an inconvenient foil to the false narratives continually pumped out by "conservatives."
