I think you should grow the Desi summer squash from baker creek heirloom seeds you get your first harvest from it in 40 days I grew it in my garden here in Ohio and it did amazing I got 10 fruits off of my two plants I grew.i crossed it with a patty pan squash and saved the seeds from it and grew the seeds from the cross and it made white fruits with a green tint to it the fruit was also like a rounder patty pan squash and it matured in 47 days.i have been watching your channel for a couple of hours and it's already my favorite gardening channel.

I haven't laughed this kind of laugh in I don't know when with the water melon then the thing full of seeds. U r so real. I have a daughter that reminds me of you. Tattoos and all.
Oh Jess, it was around this time that I found you here on KZread. My husband and I quit our careers and moved 900 miles away to northern Michigan to homestead. I was living in a 12ft long camper with my husband, homeless as we had sold our house and were waiting several months to move to Michigan. I spent hours in that camper, learning from you and your garden, while I waited for my future garden. It was spring 2020 when we finally got our home established enough (we built our own home) to start a garden. Girl I WISH you could see this garden you helped build. It’s GORGEOUS and so inspiring to me. THANK YOU for all your hard work here on KZread. You are a blessing to so many! Gods hand is all over you and your family; it’s fascinating to witness 🥰 hugs girl!
Your jelly melons are called Kiwano . They don't ripen for me and turn orange until late fall and into the winter. The vines look really bad but the fruit continues to ripen on the ugly vines into the winter. I harvest them when they turn orange. I really enjoy your videos. I'm learning so much. Thank you!
her eyes smile when she talks... thank you garden lady who’s eyes smile. I appreciate it

"Don't ignore the tired plants. Rip them out and bring in fresh manure" (paraphrased). Honestly, this is good advice for life. New wine, new wineskins.
MY WIFE AND I LOVE YOU FARM VISITS!!!! AND I GET MOTIVATED EVERY TIME I WATCH THEM, SO OUT TO THE GARDEN I GO!!!!
Some of us Love long videos ! Many youtubers put up 10 or 15 minutes and call it a day, thank you for making longer ones. ~ Oh, not that I mind shorter ones when something out of the ordinary comes up that you want to share, I'm just sayin' :)

kyfarm2016 I totally agree with this! Short is fine but people apologize for longer ones and I wish I could say to them “I don’t mind!!”
Loved this! I was laughing so hard at you tasting that jelly melon- it did not look very appetizing. 🤣
shower puffs can be used for melon support cheaply too. and you can custom size them too since they are one long strip as well .

You have been giving me such inspiration to plant and grow more then i normally do... Thank you for all the idea's...
Just watching these again because here in Australia I’m around week six in my relatively young garden- these videos never get old, Jess!
I would love to see a video about planning a fall garden.
Ben is so cute cute and he's going to be a great gardener too!
I love that you show everything!! Good and bad. You’re awesome. ❤️
Awee~ he’s so cute. Love your organic garden 😊
Sweet,sweet boy. What a good helper😊
Lovely thank you for taking the time out to do the videos I really enjoy them!!
Your family is lovely!
How did you know? How did you know that I am experiencing the "it's too hot to go out to the garden, blahs" this morning? I've recently been dealt a disappointing blow by having to pull 3 of my cherry tomato plants due to blight. After fighting with the blight, pulling leaves off and spraying with organic fungicide the blight won and the plants died. First time that has ever happened to me. I mean, I know I need to get out there and water, and I need to do it soon because it's going to be another hot and sticky day in the 90's, but I just don't feel it right now. So, instead I eagerly watched your garden tour, and I, once again, get inspired. Thank you, Jess, for the gentle kick in the butt to get me out there, where I belong. Oh, and I see you have 10K subscribed now, congrats on the milestone.

Love your early shows! I am learning so much.
Love your garden tours!
What a wonderfully enjoyable gardening channel this is. I have to start planning my tomato patch for next year! I also like the idea of growing small melons up a trellis. Jess, you know how to live well.
Love garden tours! You work so well with the kids: allowing them to help. I love their unadulterated tastes too, calling sweet tomatoes candy :)
Love the videos! I really like how you show success and failure. Both are helpful. Happy gardening to you. I am in Texas, zone 8a. It is hot as blazes, but the garden is thriving. Peace and blessings to all!
You are my new favorite KZread gardener. You got me with the watermelon. Great videos!
Watching your garden tours is so fulfilling to me. I just want to be out gardening. But living in Canada, we have a shorter growing season. Watching your videos really gets me through! Love it!
Hey Jess, lm so glad I found your channel. Great information. I love how you take the fruit off the plant and show us the inside, name the plant ,and how to care for it .
I loved watching this, it must be so amazing and humbling to live like this. I live in a city but it's my dream to be able to have an amazing garden just like yours x
Still a beautiful video!!! I rewatch every winter when I start missing my garden
I have good luck with the red Marconi too. Sweet peppers 🌶 are my favorite. Your garden is beautiful.
Beautiful garden! Thanks for the inspiration!

Your whole garden setup is amazing and it's even more amazing now with the roses in the gateway thank you so much for sharing your beautiful food garden
i just found your channel today and this was the first video i watched, your smiley face and enthusiasm for your garden is inspiring. i live in Australia and we do not have so many of the things you grow, i like seeing all the different fruits and veggies. the stripy melons you grew in the stockings look wonderful. oh by the way i love that your videos are so long
Jess, love your positive attitudes about gardening...I hate wedding too so always mulch...newspaper layers and straw which is then tiled into soil in the spring. I like to walk on the straw!
Forward moving! We will move into the future for a double harvest. I love the melons. I love watermelon too! Good work Jess.

Pretty garden loved your PJs on your last video! Annie!
Love your garden videos and Ben is a little doll, his interest in the garden is precious. Marigolds are great as a companion plant to ward off bad bugs, something about the smell the bugs don't like. Your Zinnia patch is very pretty and other than the tomatoes I find your melons fascinating and those long beans are amazing. As to what I would like to see that would be different........I guess growing potatoes and/or more companion flowers. :-)
I really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work!
Always love to watch your videos and get inspired in many ways. Your little one is just too cute for words. How about some yellow meat watermelons. I remember them as a kid and they were sweet and also orange ones. Thanks and much love and peace. Blessings
I do love my garden now cos of you too, Thanks for That, greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰😘🤗🤗
I love all of your videos. They're filled with great information and your passion for gardening and farming shines through! I would love to see a video about amending soil and a cover crop for your in ground garden (if you choose).
I just love watching your garden grow. This is another very informative video. Thank you for the share. Would love to see your seed collection and hear the stories behind how you acquired the special ones too.
I love watching your videos so much I'm rewatching all your tours from 2018 and 2019 to get pumped for this year! I'd love to see you grow more carrots and onions.
I absolutely love your whole demeanor. You always put a smile on my face. I get excited over my crops too. 🙂. This year I will be planting my first true garden. Finally in our own home. Yay. Always grew tomatoes and peppers in pots. Thank you for making this journey great. You were the first person I found on KZread that made me just want to plant every and everywhere.
Great video! Garden looks beautiful!
Squash bugs and vine borers are discouraging for me. Once again, thank you for the shot of encouragement!
Can't wait til thr gardens are all lush again
Fasciated blossoms and cat facing. I learned that right here on your channel. Deformed tomatoes had always been a mystery before then. Your, How to Grow The Best Tomatoes | Gardening Tips and Tricks, video was one of the best I have ever seen on growing tomatoes. Please consider a Part II. Take care.
Love watching your garden grow. Thank you for sharing. Excited to see your new Back To Eden garden next year. I have been gardening for 20 years and this is my first year trying BTE. So far so good. Helps retain water really well.
Hi Jess, I'm so happy to have discovered your channel. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites.I have plenty of land (8 acres)to have a garden the size of yours, but not the energy. I've quite a few years on you. And, congratulations on being invited to speak at the Baker Creek National Heirloom Expo this fall! That's so cool!
happy to watching your videos
You are a good momma and your son is adorable. I have had the same feelings toward my garden once it gets hot and most of the plants are at the end of producing. It's funny but I told my husband about a month ago that I want to continue growing food as long as I can from now on. I'm in zone 8b and will start my fall planting in September. I'm excited to see what you plant in your fall garden. I had a horrible green bean harvest this year thanks to white flies but will continue to grow more until I can't this year since it's hubby's favorite but I'm not 💯 sure yet what I'm planting in September. Much love.
