I took your advice about keeping faith and dreaming big. I was not going to have much of a garden due to low funds for soil this year, I was heartbroken about it. My starts were root-bound and no good soil in sight.Today a distant relative offered soil on fb, and I was able to get some..today (yay!) Totally unplanned. I stood in my yard looking at the mountain of soil and cried. There is so much in gardening. The whole process. I hope my garden is beautiful like yours this year💜

Thanks everyone.😊 I'm a composter but my soil is so..loamy, and my garden has always been pretty large. It was gorgeous for a few years but I didn't do well with keeping the soil up aside from my little compost pile. I just need to learn more, I think. It looks like her raised area is about the size mine was. Just too big to keep up I feel like. This year it'll be big because of the topsoil blessing, but I gotta figure it out. I adore the comment section🌻🌺🌈

Have you ever considered planting peanuts? Can make your own peanut butter. I've put in almost 70 plants in a 6x8 space and that amount should provide enough peanuts to supply me with enough peanut butter for a year. And I eat a lot of it, lol... Super easy to start and grow and they can handle the heat.

My Mom and Dad were huge gardeners that inspired me to garden. I was the last person to talk to my mom on her death bed. I was talking to her about walking throw my garden and showing her my veggies. The last word I said to her as she passed was Okra. That was in November. Now, Dad has brain cancer and is not expected to survive the summer. Every time we talk the turns to the garden. He asked me to come and take care of the garden beds for him. So last week I planted out two of his beds with perennials he asked me to get for him. We are setting up an indoor veggie to keep his mind engaged.

Hey Jess, after a long day of hard work, it was so nice to relax tonight and watch your garden tour. Thank you so much for sharing. I am happy to report that only a few of my garden plants were damaged by a recent wind storm. We have had so much rain so that did impact some of the plants, but I’ve been able to share lettuce, spinach and kale with friends and family. My beets are close to being ready to harvest, onions are looking really good, tomatoes, beans and peppers are doing very well. I even have some corbaci peppers on one plant! Thanks to you sharing those from last year... baby tomatoes are my favorite! So exciting to see actual fruit. I started everything from seed this year for the first time so I was a little nervous about how everything would turn out. So far I have been blessed just watching it all grow! Thanks again! Have a blessed weekend!

My beloved maternal grandfather dreamed of going out in a garden with a milk crate in hand and a salt shaker in his pocket. He dreamed of sitting in a garden, picking a tomato, sitting on that crate in the sun and eating his tomato with salt. He passed before he could fulfill his dream, but knew we had finally bought a house with land in the suburbs. In memory of Omer Joseph Duval, I eat a tomato in my garden each year. This year I will figure out how to mark my tomato alley after his nickname, Gaga. Thank you for the idea of naming veg beds!

I just smile as I watch your channel, you just make me happy, and I know I could take a lesson from your garden, I live in Idaho, and try every year to grow a small garden, as I get my backyard cleared I will have raised beds and then I can really grow some nifty things. Thank you so much for giving me so much inspiration, bless you all so much.

One of the great things about multi planting your able to take advantage of 1 harvest that goes quickly and then able to then grow warm season grasses.

Garden looking lovely and encouraging to see you have some seeds that do not come up either ;-) In the beginning it definitely discouraged me, but now I just plant more of same, or something else

I am so excited for the lemon balm and mint video!! I second guessed myself and didn't make space for it this year but I will be ready with my notebook and all the ideas for next year!

Hey Jess...it sure looks like borage to me. It comes up all over my garden area after a friend shared a plant with me three seasons ago. Your videos inspire me in my garden every day. Thank you for sharing your life with me.

Love your videos. You mentioned a cottage garden. I am currently putting in our yard/garden for a new construction home. That is exactly what I want to create. Thank you for the idea 😊

I don't know how you keep your cool coming across the snakes. I would have been a crying screaming little girl if that had been me. :)

I enjoy seeing your garden. Your cats are super cute too. I’ve harvested a few tomatoes and several cucumbers already here in Texas 8b.
