You'd be fine walking through that video shoot. When Adam says, "I would die for all my people," he is talking about the patriots. White, black, tan, red, yellow...patriots come in all shapes, sizes and colors. Don't get it confussed. 😘

I went for a walk into town yesterday with my flag. Lots of support from the traffic, only one hater who spit on himself as he went by. Spittin into the wind doesn't work so well. But the best part was this real old guy and his wife, who slowed way down, so he could salute the flag properly. Made my day.

The lyrics you read were very wrong, but that's not your fault. If you guys walked through that video shoot, they would have pulled you up on the tank to head bang with them. They are both very much about unity and stopping division. The only reason Tom mentioned white boys is because he often mentions his previous songs in his current song. He has a song WhiteBoyz on his album with Adam about how crazy white boys are with their guns, smokes, and drinking. It ties into the line later about how if you miss, they're going to go wacko, automatic gun smoke like tobacco. He's in no way saying that only white boys love their country. Tom also has said in songs that he supports trans people in their policies but all the mandatory lists of pronouns are getting ridiculous and confusing. Thanks for the reaction.

However, he wanted to be a punk rocker originally and one of his biggest hits lately was a pop song. You'll hear all kinds of influences in his songs. He has Billboard #1's in Hip Hop, Alternative, Rock and Pop and I don't know why he doesn't have any in country yet, he's certainly played around with the sound enough. I think that's why many people don't get some of his hooks, they aren't pure rap hooks. But they are catchy, they stick in your brain for days.

Also, when someone is talented, and he does everything himself, that is the definition of "If I can do it, you can do it" - inspiration. Something that is lacking in the music industry. @@spellfam1199Yes, I've lived and worked abroad. I'm British and I don't think the UK is the best country in the world, purely because I would need to have lived in them all to say so. It depends on your criteria too. The US has the highest infant mortality rate in the Western world and, along with the UK, is one of the most unequal. I think we're both out of the game.

You can be the hardest critic of your country and still love it and it's values, acknowledging all the good achieved and wanting to make it even better. The problem is when some critics don't recognize any good, any achievement, don't love the country values, and want to see it fail to have something else take it's place. Which is the case with much more people that it seems. This song is absolutely not race related. It's all about loving your country (America and it's values in this case).
