Me too! My mom just put me in dance and gymnastics at 5 to kinda girlify me but I was also able to go hunting and fishing with my father and help him fix shit. I had a brother. No sisters. We were 14 months apart. Of course I played with GI JOE and he played with Barbie’s. Glad our parents didn’t start chopping and adding body parts to us or putting us on the same drug they use on sex offenders. I’m happy that my brother and I were not chemically sterilized, and both were able to have a boy and girl of our own. lol. This world is nuts Both sides have crazies. Just one side has more than the other at the time. One is running a weekend at Bernie’s campaign and a banana republic simultaneously while the other guy gains more popularity with the more indictments and prosecutions he gets. I’m voting for a felon And I’m OK with that because this is 2024 and that’s just how it goes. The best meme I have seen for a picture of George Floyd is the Painter saint of fentanyl with the caption, “Democrats: "I don't know how you can support a felon*”. Lol

I feel it's because they are very smart that they have an air of arrogance. Everything they say is believed. I never tell people my IQ because years ago I was told I could be a friend because I am to smart and it intimidates people. And that was me not saying anything. I just read a lot and am a researcher by trade. I also know both sides of an argument and have the data to back it up. However, I don't argue or say something that I don't have hard data on both sides. Besides my father told me when I was 18 that I would never have a husband if I didn't stop being so smart. I tried but then I married someone like my dad. Well that went down fast. Lol

School shootings are mostly a mental health issue, not a gun issue. Look at it this way. Even if the person didn't have a gun, they'd have found another way to express whatever evil act they were committed to doing. Getting rid of the gun doesn't solve the problem. However, if someone had been able to help the person with whatever issues they have that caused them to do it, then the danger is gone. Obviously, that doesn't change how terrible the shootings are, but don't blame it on people owning guns. People have owned guns in America for years and years before any school shootings, so the guns aren't the problem, so you have to look towards other things that have changed, like the decline in mental health.

We already have too many firearm laws for law-abiding citizens, and we already have background checks. The only people who are hurt, inconvenienced or taxed too much with these laws are lawful gun owners. Criminals do not use the system and do not care about the laws and will not be affected by them. Re background checks, they only work when used. When an unstable firearm owner is from a politically popular group, his background check is unused, or left unmentioned after an incident. Lastly, the media do not publish news of the estimated 50,000 lives saved per year by legal gun owners.

I’m also a nurse and my mom has Parkinson’s and dementia, I believe she has lewy bodies but since that cannot be confirmed until an autopsy performed, and she is not deceased yet I can’t prove it, but when I watch Joe it appears he suffers from the same issue. And I started out working for a neurologist and a pediatrician who were husband and wife so I have a little experience with the elderly and how their brain works. Don’t get me wrong he has pretty much been an ineffective POS on the wrong side of almost every issue and had two very disastrous campaign, three if you count this last one or if you count this current one it’s four, so I’m kind of glad he can’t think but it scares me to think about who is actually running our country because it is not that dude. And when I see the news, tell me that this is a right wing conspiracy theory about Joe, when we can see the shit with our own eyes confirmed that they truly think we’re stupid. And some people sadly are believing it which blows my mind.
