@@8RealFolks literally according to judging criteria a threatening position aka the back take is MORE IMPORTANT THEN cumulative damage taken in that position none of volks strikes in that position were high in damage and in round 4 the beginning islam caught him with a straight and hooks high damage ones legitimately he lost that according to UFC JUDGING CRITERIA

No.... I refuse to watch replays. Opinions are easily swayed by the result... as in judges of combat sport. Volk won 3 -2. Love both fighters though. Need that rematch boyyyy👍

Islam basically used the flawed scoring system to his favour so it is what it is🤷‍♂️ Islam gassed out after round 3 and looked lost when he couldn’t take him down, hopefully in a rematch Volk pushes the pace from round 1.

I fuck with volk big time, but he will get smashed in a rematch. Volk is an absolute legend and warrior, but islam certainly looked off from the jump. His body language everything. Whether he had a worse weight cut than normal, the pressure got to him who knows. No doubt volk gets credit for islam "struggling", but i think islam will make the adjustments and show everyone that his hype train was real. Again, i wanted volk to win so not any bias coming out, its just what i saw and believe.

Had it just like you and nearly everyone on the internet. Volk won 3 to 2. Rewatching it can delude your thoughts. Volk won end of story. Great fight. Best I've seen since Iron Mike going on his tear....normally your first gut feeling is what you should go with. Love both fighters... a rematch is what the fans deserve. Volk defended one takedown, islam got one takedown, but both had similar control times: 57 seconds (islam) and 53 seconds (volk). So literally islam wins that round because of 4 seconds. Round 3: volk pressured more but islam dealt more damage. Islam landed 2 more significant strikes. Volk defended 2 takedowns but islam got 1 takedown. Both had similar control time. 35 seconds islam and 29 seconds volk. Islam wins that round literally because of 2 more significant strikes. Round 4: volk pressured more and did more damage. Volk landed more significant strikes. Islam got 1 takedown and had a lot of time of useless control time, given the fact that volk significantly outstroke him. So volk was tje one desling damage, even in disadvantaged ground positions. Islam did nothing. Round 5: volk pressured and dealt a lot of more damage. Volk Heavily outstroke islam and even decided to use grappling offensively, which led him to taking top position and mauling islam until the round ended. With just 1:33 minutes of control time in that round, volk did more damage than islam throughout the whole fight. Conclusion: VOLK CLEARLY SHOULDVE WON!
