@@WildcatSama Makes perfect sense, many of C Shields opponents have been white collard fighters, and C Shields came through the amateur ranks so obviously gained appearance there, it's not the B all and end all, but it's an advantage, both S Marshall and C Shields started their amateur career aged 11, while many of C Shields opponents came into boxing much later in life, the problem with C Shields record is women boxing is not on a level with mans boxing yet, especially when you get up in the higher weight classes, it's not rocket science, fighting for vacant titles should tell you that, being a champion does not make you a great champion especially when you division is not stacked with credible opponents, and C Shields head movement is not that great, she often exchanges shot's and her feet look planted to the floor, probably because she's looking for knockouts she cannot get.

Fun fact; Emma Kozin is one of two woman who box professionally out of Slovenia, & in preparation for the fight she sparred 500rounds, meaning this woman was battle hardened by sparring mostly men,. Shes tough & wasn’t a pushover as most people think. Also she was undefeated. Clarissa should get credit she deserves because she only fights the best & when you’re fighting at championship level its definetely more difficult to knockout your opponents.

@@mikemenelik1492 I hear you and respect your opinion more now, you kickbox, I box. Our first instinct is to win regardless, Knockout is always a bonus but the focus is always to be the better, complete fighter then the one who is stood opposite you. My coach always tells me this. You have half hour or more of fighting to end the fight, if not then you best be out boxing them while searching for that finish. Getting sparked out isn't the best for your health but getting your head boxed off for 6-8-10-12 rounds is substantially worse. It's not just "losing on points" brother, she's smoking these girls from 1-10, bell to bell, they resort to surviving once they realise it's worthless trying to win. This is a fighter who rarely drops rounds let alone fights, a 2x Olympian, undisputed in how many weight classes, resumes are leagues apart, one or two common opponents don't mean much! Of course there's a puncher chance in all of this and Sav might just catch her and knock her out but I personally don't believe it, I potentially see Sav's footwork causing problems, Shields is flat footed but has superb head and upper body movement, at the end of the day she is too well rounded and isn't even the complete article yet that's what's crazy, this fight will make her the star she's trying to be

Most comments are on Savannah beating Shield: The fact that Savannah, a 20 years old "young adult", beat Shields in 2012 at 17 years "adolescent" doesn't mean Savannah is better than her. Savannah won in 2012 with her psychological maturity. Shields is an entertaining fighter who love dominating games, not a KO fighter. She didn't held 3 divisions belt and won 2 Olympic gold by mistakes in the last 10 years. She didn't just win 3 division belts with fighters of great experiences and knockout power, she won them in just 10 fights. I will not be surprise if she dominate all the 10 rounds against Savannah or even knock Savannah out before round 7.

It’s relieving to see ladies like Clarissa Shields evolve into boxing. I recall the female beginners who slapped each other. It hasn’t been too long that females gained that proper form. Judging from Shield’s lack of KO power we can hope that’ll follow, in her &/or other ladies. In any case Clarissa looks like a consummate professional - a real deal.

People always talk like getting in the ring and boxing some is easy and you should be able to just KO them. Emma Kozin was unbeaten in how many fights? Styles make fight. Much harder to outbox someone than just throw heavy hands as wilder found out anyone can have punch power need skills aswell. Interesting fight and a fight to promote the main fight with savannah fact is though when someone’s been waiting to fight someone they’ve studied them and believe they have the tools for the job. That’s a fact shields will be a different fighter when the Marshall fight comes around believe me. Marshall isn’t regularly fighting either which isn’t good

Claressa is right alot of you don't know that Savannah in her prime in the amateurs couldn't even beat Nouck Fontijn (Dutch boxer) whom won silver @ the olympics. Look it up, and Nouchka is barely EUROPEAN LEVEL. Alot of you want to stand by your fighter and that's cool but don't be delusional. For the record i'am Dutch but i'am a boxing fan. Go by skills, and history already showed you that Claressa has grown so much since that close points loss when she wasn't even an adult. She also won 2 olympic gold medals and unified 3 divisions 2 of them undisputed. Meanwhile Savannah picked up several losses against Nouchka if i'am correct 5 out of 6. Guess what, Claressa dominated Nouchka whom was MUCH bigger then Shields as for dimensions so Savannah isn't that much different to her either. Claressa will outpoint Savannah and after that all you cheerleaders will make excuses. Know your boxing history laddies and gentleman. Facts are facts, Savannah ain't on Claressa's level period.

If clarissa beats sav she really can be in the GWOAT convo but in her pro career her strength of opposition hasnt been amazing, sav has fought alot of the same opponents at this point and you can see what a true middleweight with a high level skillset can really do, i see sav dropping her in rd 5ish and a stoppage somewhere around rd8, clarissa is just to small and will have to work so hard to keep her off her that her feet are defo gonna slow down at some point and once they do its a dangerous place to be for her.

@@cierankinsella3451 surely your point can’t be that if a fighter can’t win by KO they need to drop weight class…. That’s a very moronic take on the sport. The size is not an issue at all. The power might be but that’s about it. I expect Sav to miss a lot of punches cos she’s slow and Clarissa has excellent defence and great head movement. Expect fast counters. Can sav actually fight going backwards? That’s something that we are yet to see really. When it comes to who has more tools, there’s no debate that Shields has the upper hand.
