Full Cycle of the Vintage 1955 Frigidaire Unimatic Automatic Washer
Full cycle doing a load of towels in the Unimatic. Sorry, the camera is a little shakey. I need to buy a proper video camera for these. Hope you all enjoy the video.

Great washer! 😊 under 24 minutes wow ! For a load ! That clean that’s flat out amazing!
That's a great machine. Used to see them used 30 years ago. I'm still seeing them today and that's a true testament to our engineering and industrial culture in this era of machine!

It amazes me that these are still running.
Wow What A Great Video!!! I just love these vintage Frigidaire washers, These were machines that really knew how to clean clothes well!!! My Mom had the 1965 model with the three ring agitator and I'd give anything to have that machine today!!!
That agitator is hilarious 😂

@@Gsohoover No problem bro, this vid was acually pretty cool!
Beautiful. My neighbor had one on the farm. It was unusual for farm wives to have automatics in the early fifties. My mother claimed that automatics "danced" and didn't get work clothes clean, then she bought a Maytag Highlander but keep the SQ stainless tub conventional for the really dirty stuff from the barnyard. In no time she sold the SQ and the Maytag lasted forever.

Hey Tyler this is what we all been waiting for the first full wash cycle video of your 1955 Frigidaire Unimatic washing machine. This was a awesome video. I have autism diagnosed when I was 18 months old. When I was a little toddler I have aways been fascinated with washing machines. I would stay in the laundry room the whole time when the washer is running through the cycle some times I hold the lid switch down with my finger to watch the washer operate. I hope you like my little story.

@@williamcole4878 You're not alone William. I had a fascination with washers since the first time I remember seeing my mother's first automatic kenmore when I was about 1 year old or thereabouts. God bless.

What a beauty. They don't make them like this anymore. Nothing but cheap unreliable plastic in these newer machines.
Tyler thank you for posting this great video - its amazing what they made so many years back! This is the right way to do laundry - so fast washed rinsed and spun out really well!
Sounds nice and smooth you did a great job! Looks super.👍

Wonderful video, Tyler. Everything about this machine is Beautiful. Thanks for posting this marvelous machine in action.
I would love to own one of these old washers. They really knew how to get clothes clean and spin 'em dry.
What an elegantly fascinating washer. The sound alone is enough to seduce me away from my other household duties😶🌫️. Whatever made Ge/Frigidaire cease making these, and how can we dissatisfied consumers bring about a laundry renaissance?🤔
Holy cow, that emptied FAST!
this 1955 washer machine cleans faster and better than todays...gm should be making them more but their quality vanished...
Great video and amazing wash action
What a amazing machine indeed. If you ever decide to let people see them please let me know. I would love a tour of the machines for sure. Great video.

Thank you, yes, I have had collectors over several times already.
I love the old appliances that washing machine I would change my front loader with that washing machine anytime love to find one looks like it's in mint condition you're lucky
Sounds like a 50s UFO. 🛸
My brand new SQ top loader takes forever to empty and come to 600RPM ... sad. The Unimatic empties so fast I bet you really need a sink to empty else you'll overflow the drain with too much volume!
Dont make them like that no more.. Great post

You have the matching dryer that would be cool if you had one
Ohh what is that in the background?! Frigidaire custom imperial washer?!?!?!

A very well thought out agitator for sure so simple yet so POWERFUL. The machines of today all come from the orient which says the so called brainiacs over there have very little fresh water resources are trying to create an energy saving machine that missed the boat. We are in America and Canada where water is cheap and plentiful to clean clothes. Thank you but I will keep my 1992 Kenmore top loading triple action agitator that uses WATER YES WATER to clean clothes instead of drops of water and silly dances{ movements in the tub}. My older machine has NO computer boards to screw up just dials what a relief but at my home i bought a samsung front loader set. Mediocre at best washing job and the jury is still out on the longevity of the machine. Yes I have 2 washer/dryer sets and i bet you can guess what gets used the most for cleaning ! Cheers all and have a great day!
