Full Cycle- 1960 AMC Kelvinator W70M washing work shirts
A load of work shirts in the Kelvinator. Trying out the new Tripod and the splash guard to keep water from getting everywhere and making it possible to see into the machine while it's washing. Hope you all are staying safe and doing well.

Great video of the Kelvinator In Action, was lucky to use similar at a wash in years ago, you deffo need the splash guard but a classic Kelvinator. Love the colour of the agitator. Thanks for sharing the video.
Out of all washers I have seen, this washer takes the cake. What an amazing wash action. These modern washers ain't got nothing on this one

See it just goes to show you that the machines that were built way back then really knew how to get your clothes clean, Not like the junk that they make today using only a cup of water and breaking down every other month!!! Thanks for the great video Gso and have a good night!!!

No, I brainstormed about trying to watch the machine so we could watch it and not have water run everywhere 😆
What is the agitator actually doing underneath the water? It's hard to tell what the Wash action really is. Any possibility of seeing this operate without clothes or water in it? That would be great!

How fast does this machine spin compared to other top loaders from that time?

550 RPM according to a service manual. On par with a Whirlpool/Kenmore.

With the concentric-agitation, 1968. WCI then got them and killed this design.

@@Gsohoover the tub in the Frigidaire we had sat on a tripod thing of sorts with a round pan supported by three legs connected to a smaller round balancer (I think), anyway these three legs were fastened by spot welds and one of them let go,I finally drilled a hole in it and put in a bolt and nut to hold it but it was never the same afterwards, also it had a tiny motor similar in size to an alternator,we used it for about three or four years then replaced it with a Kenmore which wasn't much better but that's another story 😂
