I actually felt the opposite. From the moment he said he was not committed in his previous marriage then said he wants to marry again, it made me think he goal is to be married but not necessarily to be committed. And the light haired one, Yasmin I believe, was not amused. In fact from their first appearance on the show you could see she wasn't feeling the whole set up thing for her Mom. Maybe that's why she wasn't given much air time, just didn't fit the direction they were trying to go in.
