Created in 1977, The World's Strongest Man™ has become the premier event in strength athletics. For over 30 years, the strongest men on the planet have come together in a series of unique and amazing tests of strength to determine The World's Strongest Man. The competition has travelled to stunning and varied locations such as Zambia, Iceland, Mauritius, Malaysia, Morocco, China and the USA.
For over three decades The World's Strongest Man has tested the limits of human strength, power, and endurance. The best strongmen on the planet and the most demanding challenges including Fingal's Fingers, Truck Pull, Dead Lift, Giant Farmers Walk, Plane Pull and the Atlas Stones have made the event a highlight in the TV calendar and the show a family favourite with a worldwide audience of over 220 million people.

3:35 I love that quote, none of this is smart, doesn't stop them from doing it tho, regardless of whether it's smart or not, they want to be the World's Strongest Man, no matter the cost, and that shit is just cool as fuck.

Big Z 397lbs, in their ideal condition for their sport strength athletes are not long for this earth for example big Zs heart will be working over time just to keep that sheer mass vascularised if Eddie hall maintained the condition he was in when he broke the world deadlift record he would be lucky to make his 40s/mid 40s that is why when strong men retire they downsize drastically Garry Taylor for example.

@@zanechristenson3436 new drugs, new doping, SARMA,SERMS, PEPTIDES, GLUTOTHIONE.. shall I go on? what records do you hold? I have 2 drug free records and in winter 2022 I will have 4 more. stephi cohen squatted and deadlifted a higher wilks score than any male strongman lb for lb..RAW..you see the size of KRILL SARCHEZ, and the MOUNTAIN once they came off their blasts? or DENIS CYPLENKOV when he got off MEGA-TREN? the human body didn't change..good genetics back then was the same as it is now..DRUGS CHANGED.. there still is ED COHN, lamar Gant , Kirk kowalski, doug young, jon pal SIGMARSSON that have records that were broken before even monolifts were being used.

@@FITNESSOVER45 you big into the world of steroids? They haven’t changed much over the last thirty years… I don’t know of many professional bodybuilders or athletes using SARMs or peptides as they are just less effective versions of actual hormones… what has changed dramatically since then is the understanding of diet, training, and science of the bodies reaction to those things. That being said I could certainly agree the mentality of the athletes is not as intense or tough as it was.

And I’m not sure what holding records has to do with being a fan or analyzing strongman. When it comes to that we are both in the same position, neither of us being strong enough enough to actually partake.
