    Hi! Thank you for this tutorial! Question - the shortcut button for changing exposure, do you have to be in a specific shooting mode for that option? When I press the button "up", I don't see the option to change exposure. Also, why are some of the menu items not "bold"? Ex., in the shooting menu, "ISO" isn't bold like the other options (it skips over that option when scrolling the menu). Thank you!

    Newer digital cameras tend to bury photo/video files in folder upon folder if they aren’t displayed together. When you look at the file availability, make sure you try looking in every option! It is a bit tedious but in my experience it’s usually in the second file and I click around from there, it’s different with every brand

    Make sure the card is formatted (this will delete all data off the card so make sure you have everything backed up to a computer), and if that still doesn't work, try a different video setting. If you go into the menu and pick a lower resolution and frame rate, it should give you a longer time restriction.

    Dear Shutterbug, very helpful, thanks, and I have an XP140 arriving in the post next week. I wonder: I like taking high-speed (1/1500, 2000) in the sea sometimes, so is the Sport setting best for that? Otherwise, how can one choose high-speed shutter? Also, rather than using Burst I like to set the XP140 to take few frames per second, preferably full-size in terms of data - can that easily be set up? And in the sea, would Auto-Focus slow the picture-taking when doing several frames a second, and is it thus better to set a manual focus, ideally a Pan Focus if that could be done? What would you recommend? Thanks again for you help!

  • @Shutterbug101

    @Shutterbug101

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hello John, This camera does have the capability to have a shutter speed up to 1/2000 of a second, but to ensure it goes that fast, you need to change your shooting mode in your menu to P and then turn your ISO to a higher number, which unfortunately may freeze motion but the clarity/sharpness may not be great. Also, the manual focus is near impossible to use on this camera. This model was specifically designed to point and shoot, there are very little custom settings you can utilize in comparison to more advanced models that have more manual options. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    When you press the triangle symbol to look at photos you have taken, and you wish to delete one, you will press the trash can button and confirm you want to delete the image. Let me know if you have other questions!

    4k burst normally takes the same number of frames as the highest 4k video mode, so for this it would 15fps. You all knew that, I'm just talking to myself, aren't I...
