Fujifilm XC 16-50mm version II vs version I. Are they both great?
Фильм және анимация
In this video I review Fuji’s popular lens Fujinon XC 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS II. This is the version II of the kit zoom lens that has improved a little bit over the 1st version. I tell you how I like the lens and I compare the version 1 and version 2 of this lens. You’ll see sharpness graphs of the Fuji XC 16-50mm, how I determine lens sweet spot and sample photos. I like this lens and my conclusion is that the version 1 and version 2 of Fujinon XC 16-50mm are very similar. Overall the Fuji XC 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS II is definitely a keeper and I recommend it. This lens works especially well as a travel lens because it is so small and light.

Hi Paul! Thank you very much, indeed. I'm glad you found my video useful. Happy New Year!
Thanks for the comparison, it will be useful using your identification of the sweet spots for sharpness in wide normal telephoto.

Hi Bruce! Thank you so much for watching. Kind regards!
Well, at 1:07 I'm watching the lens zoom in and out. Without a hand on the lens. New to me! You live in an amazing location. Fantastic imagery. Bokeh? I have fun faking it in Photoshop. Just be sure to save that extra layer as a PSD. The lens is just handy. And shooting in a square format with it eliminates the edge softness you get with it.

Hi! Thanks so much; great to hear from you. The lens zooming in and out was a time-lapse. I know this is one of your favorite lenses and I can understand why. I enjoy using this lens with my X-A1. Even the XF 18-55 would be too heavy for this tiny camera. Cheers!
