Only $300 more for a much more pro focused X-T5 with weather sealing, better EVF, more versatile rear screen, dual slots. That seems like a pretty big upgrade for only $300. Maybe there's something in the pipeline to replace the X-T5?

I disagree with Siddhant. You'll outgrow the 30 rather quickly. And it will only take you up to seasoned amateur anyway. Then what do you do? If you get the 50 now, you can still learn all the same newbie stuff - but the 50 can take you much further into more professional results with its specs...especially if you get the right glass...like the new 16-50, or the 16-55. And even if you decide that photography isn't for you, the 50 will be an easier resell. :)
@marcoteixeira762

I gotta agree with Siddhant. But truth be told, either camera will be a great choice, because they’re both well built cameras. While yes, the xt50 has a better sensor a more megapixels, a good picture doesn’t resume to that. What really makes a diference are your choice of well built and quality lens. I personally would recommend you to start with the xt30 and use the price diference of the xt50 to buy new lenses. But thats my opinion (sorry for any mistake in my text, english is not my first language)

Fujifilm's marketing is kinda weird. I don't understand why in the X-T10/20/30, they put the BKT, CL, CH, etc top dial. Who ever use them frequently? (But at least it's better than the film sim dial!) And now, they put a pretty much redundant film sim dial. Oh man.....!!! Why can't they just standardize every top dial to be the ISO? It won't compete with the X-T5. The X-T5 will still appeal to professionals or those that require a more robust camera. Now, Fujifilm!!! Listen up! In your X-T60, don't be stingy, will ya? Put ISO as the top dial! Then dumb down your resolution to cripple the camara further so that it doesn't clash with the more expensive X-T6. Honestly, if there were an ISO top dial on the X-T50, but with say 30MP resolution, I'd grab it without any thinking. Why am I paying so much for a lower end Fujifilm camera and I'm getting a pretty much unnecessary film sim dial?!! :(
@northernhound3899Ай бұрын
My X-T20 leaves this thing for dust. The X-T20 gives me rapid one touch access to a range of functions via the D-Pad (film sims, recipes, ISO, focus point) and the drive dial (Bracketing, CL, CH), as well as stock stuff via fn buttons (SS, Aperture, Exposure Comp). Without the drive dial, D-Pad and ability to customise the film sim dial for recipes, I lose most of this one-touch functionality. Meanwhile influencers masquerading as reviewers are wetting themselves over an unnecessary increase in megapixels. While studiously ignoring the significant reduction in functionality for enthusiastic JPEG shooters such as myself, who Fuji have kicked in the nuts and clearly have abandoned as a target customer group. And we are expected to swallow the lie that this is progress, whilst paying through the nose for the ‘privilege’.
