An absolute pleasure watching this review! Clear, comprehensive and complete! The comparison to the X-A7 in the end was thoughtful as well. Now, for the occasional indoor video, say once a month, is the T200 a necessity over the X-A7? More than saving 150 odd dollars (10000 rupees here in India), I'm also mighty impressed with the looks of the A7. What apart from the viewfinder and gimbal stabilization would I really miss on the A7?

Great video and introduction to the XT-200. Thank you for sharing. I’m now wrestling with getting the XT-200 when it comes out or get the XT-30. I’d love to see a comparison between those two, if you’re taking video recommendations.

I'm sitting here with my laptop watching camera videos and my Canon DSLRs are sitting on the shelf looking at me, like I'm watching something bad. Not replacing them anytime soon or buying another camera soon, but no harm in looking.

So you think I need a rig if I wanna put a noct lens on the xt 200?

I noticed (compared to the x-t100) there is no rear dial or d-pad. The rear dial is the quick way to adjust aperture or shutter if in either of those priority modes. The d-pad added quick access to functions, the most important being auto focus mode, which was then adjusted with the read dial again, now missing. Now the only shortcuts seem to be swipe functions, which the x-t100 also had.

Fujifilm have really made a comeback. They seem good for still photography. But still need to improve on video and audio. Good honest review 👍

It does feel pretty plasticky but it handles ok. I can't make any of the back buttons do AF-ON sadly but the AF eye detect was good in decent light. Overall a good competitor and a solid price point.

Solid review, very informative - i do like this xt200 love the screen, love the fact it will do decent video, has a proper mic output, the ISO levels seem to be REALLY useable i wonder if thats because its a standard array and not the X-trans array so software companys have an easier time decoding the raw files? they are very clean at 6400 ISO! I wish the XT30 had the same artic screen that this does maybe they will put it on the XT40??? I find it very very disapointing that fuji havent included at least ACROS onto the xt200 its not like its not powerful enough having a newer sensor and processor than what the xt2 had...

One thing that is not talked about much is that some Fuji cameras have the old Bayer sensor and some have the newer X trans sensor. I and many others find the Bayer sensor to be far superior to the x trans, but this fact seems to be downplayed by most reviewers and even Fuji itself. I have been using a Fuji X 10 for years. It produces stunning color images compared to the Fuji X 100s with X trans sensor. Now that Fuji is bringing back the Bayer sensor in the XA 7 and XT 200, I may even think about upgrading. Would appreciate any comments you may have on my input.

Interesting info as always I love the xA7 I also have the Xt100 I love the large touch screen on the A7 now I wish I had the 100. Regarding the film simulation Fuji could do away with a couple of the existing ones and introduce Pro Neg and others food for thought I think maybe Fuji. Love the XA7. I just got the x-t200 and I am also hearing the encoding artifacts on the audio, though it seems worse on some takes. I've been testing with the Video Micro at different gains and I seem to have a much better signal to noise ratio on my DJI Osmo Action using the same microphone. Between the audio, no recording on USB power and recording limit, I'll probably be returning it.

This channel is getting better and better now, but please also make the dpreview web server better, it is slow in loading speed.

Honestly it a nice package for my needs. Mostly thanks to that new screen. I just wish it had all the fuji film simulation. I mostly Pro neg hi on the X-t30. If it has that I would gladly sell that camera and pick up this.

Are ISO changes/ramping/stepping in video very noticeable like on the X-T30 and X-T3?

Hello, anyone know how long can the battery in Fujifilm XT200 last if I were to take timelapse?

I was pretty impressed by the original XT-100. Bought a full spectrum converted one to experiment with some infrared stuff, but I've used it a few times with an ir/uv-cut filter for normal pics too. Great image quality. It was obviously crippled a bit on the video side, though. Probably borrowed Canon's hammer. This new one looks good for a b-cam type thing. And it's crazy light weight for the performance.

is bayer new sensor on xt200 can match older xtran sensor like xtran 2 or 3?

Regarding the quality of the pre-amp: Can anyone recommend a microphone with a high enough output for use with this camera? Is this something that can be quantified by quoting a minimum sensitivity? I know very little about audio but I gather that the sensitivity is always a negative number and the closer it gets to zero the higher the output, so I'm not sure minimum is the right term to use, but you know what I mean.

Speaking of RGB lighs, have you tried any of the Philips Hue or LIFX coloured lights, I have the LIFX lights and was surprised it allows you not only to select colours, but preset white kelvin from 2500k to 9000k on the smartphone app. Seems like a great budget lighting setup.

@@MrJed_s I am not a vlogger either. But for low to the ground macro work such a screen is perfect. Doesn't limit you to landscape orientation like the flip outs do.

Looks like a solid package. I'm still in the m4/3 ecosystem, but Fuji would be my next choice if they would roll out IBIS and WR across more of their line-up.

Rathanak's Life H1 is officially discontinued. Buy it used or the coming T4. In a few weeks

I have a Canon 80D and planning to get a 24-70. Should I just invest on the 24-70 or switch to XT-200, been strugling on the decision. 80D is a little heavy for me and it will be heavier if I get the 24-70, but the XT200 got my attention for its light weight and the FLIP SCREEN, also some of the fuji popular simulation is there. Love the straight out of cam jpeg shots on fuji and the retro looks of it. Know that fuji lens have less options compared to other brands that have third party such as sigma and tamron. Seeking for advice here, should I switch or stay?

How long xt200 take to over heat at 1080p?

The X-T30 line already has a "flippy screen" which is perfect for photography. A fully articulating screen is only good for vlogging, at the expense of photography. Please Fuji don't vlog-spec all of your cameras.

I thought the rationale for excluding ACROS to be the weaker processor of Bayer models. Keen to see the X-H10

What is the best xa7 or xt200?

Looks a decent entry level option. I like the look of that screen and having a central EVF is good when working in bright sunlight. But is it really the best video camera under £1,000? What about the Nikon Z50, Canon EOS M6 mk2 or the Panasonic G90/95 which are around that price point? Okay, the X-T200 will be cheaper but you don't get the X-Trans CMOS sensor or nice picture profiles plus 4K recording will be limited to 15 mins which is a shame.

7:48 "But remember, if you're grabbing a microphone it should be one that sends a pretty hot signal into this camera" What does this mean? Any microphone recommendations? Thanks
