Nicely done on the AT&T silhouette: Vibrant colors, good sense of scale & sharp. Prices on most of the Fuji 📷 are 🚀. The X-Pro1 is $400+ now &, for me, it’s worth the asking price. When paired with a vintage lens, the quality of the images is even more film-like.

Thanks for sharing your walk, I like how you use "straight out of camera" photos..I like to see more of that with alot of photo walks...there is always a difference between the images taken and the images created...nice video new sub!!

My friend there is nothing wrong with the X-Pro1 OVF. Your framing was way off probably just because you are used to x100, x-pro1 OVF displays framing reference lines which change depending on focal range of the lenses you are using. You can't use the whole OVF as your framing reference point, it was simply a user error and not the cameras fault.

It’s a wonderful camera that I have owned since 2012 and still use in the right situations. Great photos and to see around your city.

I shoot with an X-Pro3 & X100V, but recently pickup an X-T10 and really enjoying it. Now I'm looking at the Pro1 to pair it with the 27mm or 35 1.4.. Nice images...

@@MrShuaiGuy Same sensor, different bodies and viewfinders. I love the quality of images I get with my X-E1, as long as quick focusing isn't an issue.

Very nice vid David! I have got my X-Pro 1 few months ago and it is really a different camera. Funny thing that I have just uploaded a POV video with it on my channel which will be on air tomorrow :D Such a coincidence :)

Yes, a great camera. That sensor is so nice. Try the xf 23mm f/2 instead. Then it suddenly is not slow. AF is fine. And the bit clinical look on that lens, is nicely gone with that wonderful sensor. Like that combo more than the x-pro2/23mm f/2. For that price, you can't get a better camera! It has soul...

Yeah absolutely! I paired mine with the 35/2 and it is way faster then with the 35/1.4. Love the organic look of the XP1 pictures 👍🏻

My favorite was the couple masked sitting down (early in vid)

@@MrShuaiGuy the only thing stopping me getting an X100V (aside from cost) is the focal length. I much prefer a 50 or 56, but now I’m starting to like the 23 focal length

Yeah definitely make sure you’re comfortable shooting at 23mm before buying. For me, I shot a lot at that focal length anyway, so transitioning wasn’t hard at all.

I recently got a basically new x-pro1 from KEH and I did a portrait shoot with it and there's some truth to that first gen sensor being magic. literally everything else about the camera is nothing special these days. But that sensor is... *chef's kiss* especially with the 35 1.4

Hi there, I just bought the X-Pro1 last december. Very happy with it. Had the x100t for the last 5 years. What is the problem with the OVF? You need the activate the ‚corrected AF frame‘ mode. That will give you the corrected focuss point and framing. Not ideal I must admit but workable. Thanks for the video 👍🏻 Cheers from Switzerland

I still have a Fuji XE2 and I really want to buy a X-pro1 soon, because I need the extra film simulations and better EVF, above all. It looks amazing and I really like the first generation of X trans. I was going to buy the Nikon Z50 first, but I'll get it later, finally, because I realized that I really love The "painting" or "oil painting" effect of Fuji, For now it is ideal for what I want to do. I will have to grab the Nikon for fast focus and hot colors, that's another universe. Fuji has it's own universe too. These are great cameras for artistic photography. May be all cameras are today, but I'm used to Fuji and it's unique resulsts. Also, the experience shooting, of course. I can do anything with the physical dials, it is possible when you really know your Fuji body. Thanks for the nice video. There is a very nice feature I discoverd with fuji and XE2: you can do manual focus and have auto focus in the same time, I mean auto focus in manual focus... if you use Fuji lens, of course. May be other brands do that, I don't know, but it can be done in a fraction of second with the available dials, while using the evf. These are bodys that are made to the hands and the eye. Really great, flexible and simple. It's a physical shooting. I guess the Xpro1 is all about that, as the XE2, but just better. And boy, soooo beautiful ! If you shoot with 18, 27 or 35mm lenses most of the time, or even 50, grab one ! Fuji has very very good small lenses that will look great with the Xpro1. Excellent for stills, and litle.

The optical viewfinder is really off because it's not an SLR. If you want a precise viewfinder you should have turned on the EVF. Great review. thanks! I really love this camera.

What is the cover/led you matte black are using on the lens. Looks sick

I noticed the camera blinking quite a bit every time you took a picture. Is the processor super slow? Were you shooting fine+raw? Thanks for the video man!

I got one on facebook yesterday like brand new with a 7artisans 25mm 1.8 ($475) let me tell you, This is the Xtrans to get !! I might argue it as good as my x100 bayer sensor. These 2 cams are gonna comeback in pop cause they are so real looking in picture quality

Just got one one with NO signs of use. That lens too. All in the original packaging, and even with the original real leather case. Shutter count is 1057. Absolutely do NOT need this camera... but... €690... No-brainer.

try these settings std , htone -2 s tone -2 color 0 sharp 0 , the colors on the xpro 1 with these settings shot at f2.8 feel like portra 400h

How did you get on with the autofocus? I find it's useless for street. It always misses so I use manual focus.

It’s a little slow, but not unusable. I think some people prefer zone focusing for street when using this camera.

Yes can safely say that after using it exclusively for street work the past month and leaving the XT1 at home that zone focusing is the way to go 🙏👌

This camera is designed to work with vintage lenses.

I shoot film and digital. So for digital I use fuji xpro1 and xe2. I really thought you used some digital film simulation. Nice colours. Standard hmmm. Need to use standard more. :-)

There is nothing wrong with OVF on the xpro-1.This is user error.

Always fancied a Xpro and now I’ve switched to Fuji for my work cameras, I really want one! This got me thinking, I wonder when the hipsters will stop using film and start saying images from old digital cameras look better!

I shoot film and am no hipster :-) Digital and analog is both fine. For me I studied photography in 1996 when digital was non existence.

That's how I shoot my iPhone.
