Fujifilm GFX 100S II Review | Best of Both Worlds?

Fujifilm have announced the new GFX 100S II and we've had the chance to put it through its paces. The main takeaway for me with this camera is that it has all the great advantages of a medium format camera, beautiful image quality, great dynamic range and everything else you would expect but it feels much more like using a full frame mirrorless camera in all the best ways. The autofocus performance is incredibly impressive and I never thought I'd be photographing wildlife like this with a medium format camera... let's talk about it.

Is there still limitations on speed vs bit depth

It DOES in fact share the same IMX461 as every other 44*33mm 100mp sensor equipped camera. There is no high speed variant. Both the 100S II and 100II use readout mode 0 at 12 bit to get framerate. The 'higher dynamic range' is due to black point clipping and an artificial pull 80 mode. Just google Jim Kasson black point clipping and you'll find the truth. All these youtube experts regurgitating Fujifilm's lies have a lot to answer for.

You couldn't imagine that the AF is worse for humans? Why not? Most of the GF lenses have slow (and loud) AF motors. If the model is moving, the situation gets completely different. On the XH2 and XH2s, Fujifilms AF is quite crappy. I couldn't imagine that they've solved all their AF issues.... P.S.: the green box? Even if displayed, that doesn't guarantee a sharp photo. Especially with eye AF.

The fidelity of this talking head shot makes me question if you are worth listening to.
