Ғылым және технология

I had one the other week. I set up a background and 3 lights, plus a camera close to eye-level and a quality mic. The other guy had his laptop shooting up his nose, the microphone making him sound like a Dalek and he turned on a desk lamp to help with the lighting which turned him orange. So yes, he won, as I spent ages on it and it didn't matter a bit for the meeting content...

Funny! Covid is forcing a lot of new skills on people, including me. Last week I live-streamed a family event on Zoom for the first time. Used a Canon R6 with the EOS web utility installed on the laptop. Quality shotgun mic. Everything went great until the WiFi cut out. It was an old, thick-walled building with a crap signal. Oh, well.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing too. That minute of footage plus a list of the equipment each used would be a better tutorial of how to improve video streaming than half the "streamers" out there. It's a day and night difference comparison of what a little effort + gear can do.

@@JohnDrummondPhoto Sorry to hear that, my condolences... (A like didn't seem appropriate.)
This camera is a game changer, it’s medium format for less than the new Sony a1. It’s 102mp and the same size as a dslr, or larger mirrorless . Medium format may be the new full frame in the next few years, thanks to this camera. This is for making works of art. Bravo Fuji.
This camera is going to take my TikToks to a whole new level!

I thought the same thing. I'd love to see somebody go out and get more samples with that. It really reminds me a of my old 80's-90's pictures.

Watching this...I'm instantly thrown back (in my mind) to '79 ..I'm working in a camera store in Idaho and we just did a training for the new Mamiya 645,, Right then, I decided to take the money I had been saving for a Nikon set up and plunged into medium format. Thanks for the reminder of time. Don't know if it would be possible or practical for me to jump into this,,,but hats off to Fuji for keeping this fire burning,,
Chris, I hope your family and you are fine and you don’t need to go through it. Looking froward to your soon return. Also, Jordan does really great work on his own, but it’s always better when both of you are around. Best wishes!
I'm here for Jordan Drake becoming the new Canadian Ansel Adams.
Here’s to you and your family staying healthy, Chris!

Two-axis articulating screen. That's what I want Sony and Nikon to do - perfect for photography if you shoot in portrait orientation. Great job Fuji.

The difference in quality between Chris's Zoom call and Jordan's Zoom call was oddly hilarious to me. Great video as always.

Great video as ever guys, had to isolate myself recently, not fun but bravo for being good responsible Canadians. Might be intriguing to see those GFX 50r prices maybe take a little tumble , as I wouldn't mind having one of those if my wallet could take it. I'm also very excited about this new film simulation - Nostalgia Negative. The Fujifilm team said it's based on the sort of film and look Stephen Shore got in his 70's American topographical / road-trip photography and since that's the exact photographer that got me into photography in the first place, I'm pretty hyped for it. Hope it works its way down the X-Series later in year, especially my X-Pro3!
6:28 wow, you guys hired a professional model? Great vid as always!

6:51 That IS AMAZING!
You did a very impressive job with this video. Although you could not shoot it together, the blending of Jordan's outdoor and Chris' indoor shots feels completely "normal" like in all your previous videos. Also, very nice to see some Jordan photography! Or are these just stills from video clips?
I’m sorry to hear about Chris’s COVID isolation and hope he and his family stay safe. I’ve owned the previous GFX bodies (still own most of the lenses) and eventually sold them. My main concern with the GFX 100 had to do with the ergonomics regarding the control wheels, joystick, and buttons. I’m glad the wheels have been upgraded, and it looks as though the joystick received a refresh as well. I’m a bit concerned with the placement of the Q button as it is similar to the GFX 50S which I found to easy to hit by mistake while using the rear dial. It’s also disappointing to see a PASM dial rather than an ISO dial as well as to see a reduction in EVF quality, especially when other brands are dramatically upping their EVF resolution and refresh rates. I’ll certainly want to try this new body in hand to, see whether it’s time to put those GFX lenses to work again. Finally, I got a kick out of Chris’s daughter’s cameo appearance :)
From a fellow Canadian Professional Fashion Photographer in Paris, France, I am definitely getting the GFX100s to add to my two GFX50s's 🇨🇦🇫🇷🤓
All the best to your friends and family!
Happy birthday, Mozart! Nice T-shirt, Jordan. Props to Amadeus.
Finally a proper joystick!! I'm excited for the XH2!

The 4k footage of Jordan's face is awesome!
It took a few listens. I was sure Chris opened with Welcome to DPTVReview viewers... Nope, dude got it spot on.
Very nice review despite the circumstances. One little advice if you want to use video calls is future, try to make Chris record his audio, so you can sync it afterwards. That would up your sound quality by a lot ;)
You guys are simply unstoppable! Nothing can stop you from making a great vdo. Also happy to see Evelyn in the vdo :)
Holy moly the video 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jordan's 1st photo (0:58). Holy Nanaimo Bars! I feel like I'm in the frikkin' photo. What a great start to the video. I literally jumped in my seat (of course, Ican't even afford a $1,000USD camera... but...)
Nice looking camera. Well rounded out for a larger sensor for sure. The Pentax K-01 sounds like a fun challenge to make videos with. I used that for KZread videos back in 2012, but my skills were not great back then. I'm tempted to buy another one to see what I can do with it now, heh.
_Good build and also very handsome camera_
My dream camera
Stay healthy, Chris (and Jordan).
This gfx cameras are shrinking in size and getting more usable and affordable, i think they might get into some of the full frame market in areas such as architecture, portraiture, landscape etc, although i doubt they will ever compete in sports and wildlife.
Thumbs up simply for being reasonable and staying put.
Great review under the circumstances! Sure don't like that R5 footage!! Hopefully you get back on the S1H for the next review :)
I have just ordered two of these - seriously - as a pro I went foolishly down the Hass route - the lenses were just too expensive for me to expand that to a full kit - I got a super deal with my local dealer Clifton CAmeras - Fuji gave me two grips and £900GBP + 2 extra batteries - I will soon have a dream kit 1 camera 5 lenses all primes and a spare body - happy days - thanks for the review - should all be here in a few months
Stay safe lads, I’m loving this camera.
Good luck Chris!
Jordan -your t-shirt. My favorite movie. BTW great video.

Hi guys very good all round info! I do have a question but not related to the camera. The gloves worn in the snow I noticed had a mit that was folded back with a pair of liners which were gloves with fingers.... Can you tell me the make etc Cheers guys...Stay safe
Pentax Q, would be a fun video filming day

Awesome camera for landscape photography.
Take care and be safe.
I second Chris' choice of the 645Z for Jordan's video at 300K
As a GFX 100 owner is there any reason other than a slightly better EVF and the vertical grip to keep it and not sell it and buy the GFX100s? EDIT: It looks like the fabulous tilting EVF add on that I have for the my GFX 100 is not compatible with the S. Once you've used one of those you everything else sucks compared to it!

Great video! all it needs is 4k 60 and its a full frame killer for video and photo.
Amazing. A medium format in portable dlsr format. Totally blindsided the competition lol. Who wants overheating issues with their FF when you can get this lol
I have not seen mentioned anywhere on their spec sheets or in the video, but is the gfx100s video in 10bit internally like the gfx100?
