That said. The best camera is the one you want to use. This is a non technical review of these 3 Fuji cameras and the system as a whole compared to Sony FF and other cameras.

Today we got a fun video that i've actually wanted to make for a while looking at Fuji cameras and how I relate them to cameras like my Sony like my compacts like my cell phones. But mostly the focus of this video is not a technical but a personal comparison of the XT series the xt3 in this case the XE series the x-e3 in this case and the x100v.

I just bought an X-E3 yesterday, for 2 reasons: price and sexiness. Really, I was looking to upgrade my X-T2, (but still keeping it as a back-up). The X-T4 was out of my price range and it came down to the T3 or X-H1. But the truth of the matter is the X-T2 still rocks, I love the images it creates and pretty much everything about it. So. I decided to keep it as my main camera, buy a back up, and wait to see what announcements Fuji has in 2022 about the X-H2. So, now it was between the X-E3 or the X-T30, which seemed to have better specs (new generation and tilty screen). But I couldn't pull the trigger on the logical choice, the T30, there was something about the X-E3 (in black) that just made me want to have it in my hands. So it was the sexiness, and the $469 price tag that lead me to finally pull the trigger, but as I said, I'm very happy with the T2 and the E3 should offer similiar performance. (I have now, XF 10-24, 18f2, 35f2, 90f2... next up: 55-200 and also I have to decide on a 'normal' zoom 18-55, 16-80,16-55, 15-45, 16-50 there are rumors Tamron will come out with the 17-70 for Fuji)

Great review👍 After years without camera, had nikon and sony befor i have decided to go fuji. I love shoot manual focus with old lenses and 1.2 or 1.4 so my first thought was xs10 or xt3 or maybe the x100v for different reason. When i was not fast enough on our swedish used market sites i missed severeal of them. Yesterday i went the orher way when i was first on a used x100v so will have it next week. Maybe i will miss the better bokeh with fast lenses and be able to change, but thats the point with this camera. And it had other good things and i love the 10 cm nearfield. And also thinks it is the best looking fuji camera. Also like, in advance any way:-) the viewfinder on the side like rangefinder, with no nose in screen snd not hiding behind camera and also be able to se the sceen. It feels like a good alrounder and also take people shoots a bit closer seems good what i have seen. Have you tested it to focus manual? I understand its not like use old manusl lenses like befor but is it somewhat okey experience? Thanks for one of the best reviews out there. Still have the xt3 in my mind and if this not work out then i will go there Best regards Joakim

I couldn't agree with you more. I am a camera junkie and own multiple systems. Although I have several Sony cameras I rarely use them. They seem to limit me, and they are just not fun to use. I know that isn't a very quantifiable statement, but that is the way that I feel. For pro work, I have been using a Canon 5D IV. Canons just feel right in those situations. However, I recently took a Fuji X100S out of storage and started to shoot local landscapes and street photography with it. I must say that I dislike its low-light focusing ability, but I love everything else about this camera. Using the X100S feels so organic. I love the fact that I have to "zoom" with my feet. I REALLY love the controls, which are so intuitive and useable. I also love its aesthetic and the fact that it is so unassuming to others. I would love to get an X100V for its better focusing, flippy screen, and weather sealing... however, it is hard for me to justify the cost (although I do think that it is priced fairly). Perhaps someday. It appears that Fuji designers are photographers, whereas Sony designers are engineers. The great news is that you really can't buy a bad camera nowadays.

Canon lifer here, so much gear and lenses. Bought a X100V and it basically shelved all my Canon gear short of very specific portrait shots with my kids. Other than that, I take my X100V everywhere, every time and my Canon gear is collecting dust. Now, would I get a XT series? Nope. I'm no longer interested in SLR-style cameras. I have telephoto lenses, primes etc for my Canon and I bought those by way of justification. Son was getting into sports at age 5? Welp better get a telephoto right? .... right? Well ya, bought and shot. Got those memories but the reality is all these years later those lenses were toys that I force fed justifications to purchase. The reality of real life is, man... a modern cell phone like an iPhone 13 could allllllmost do what you need most of the time. But its just not there yet and has some serious limitations. Enter something like a X100V. Basically, the only camera I need unless my wife tells me I need some new portrait prints for the wall. Every other shot I can handle on the V and ... its tiny and light weight. Ultimately though, man... do you. So much good gear out there across so many brands. So many photographers or aspiring photographers and the reason this industry thrives is because of competition driven through revenue and ultimately, capitalism. That free spirit to invent and also vote with your wallet is what drives this industry forward. Companies tinkering in the niche make money from people who like things I no longer need. Choose the camera you need, and the one you need now. Nearly 20 years into my journey, I basically can't justify SLR gear, lenses or anything when I can get just as good shot or better on the X100V. Take that as you will.

I love it for walkabout with the 27mm f/2.8 pancake or the 35mm f/1.4 The reason I love fujifilm is the film emulations and recipes. Back in my Canon days I spent half my life in Photoshop editing RAW. The first day I picked up a Fuji (X-T2) I fell back in love with photography. I was transported back to my 35mm SLR film days. I traded in my EOS 5D Mk II and 7D the next week. Nowadays I shoot the X-E3 in jpeg and apart from the odd crop or brightness slider I hardly use post processing.
