Just really need to say this-- These instructional videos you produce, are really well-made movies. In a niche where everybody looks and sounds the same, you're not just informative and well disciplined, but inventive. A pleasure to watch.

I did find a good use for those extended iso values too! When shooting astro I can set my iso as high as it'll go and 1 second exposure time to check my composition without having to wait 20 seconds for a "correct" image

Found this channel and thanks to ur continual education and making things simple to understand. I primary use a very high ISO when doing long exposures to check if I am taking in the objects correctly in pitch black landscapes. After that revert back to lower iso once setup looks good and then wait my eyeballs out for it to finish processing 3 min exposures. 👍

@@pal2tech Thank you! Things are great here 😀 Lol, I can imagine 😄. I've been trying to get a better understand of the DR200/400 settings in-camera, and how it affects RAW files, which seems to complicate ISO a little more 😩 From what I can understand, its best to protect highlights by using DR100, with a lower ISO, and lift shadows in post for a cleaner image. However, DR200/400 is a good option for sooc JPEGS.

Just keep doing this Chris. Another gem in the toolbox simple and direct with practical implications. Who needs all the theory? (I do, don't know why?) Who cares how is done tell me how I can use it. Most of us just need help to use our Fuji better as a creative tool. I would like to see a series on Fuji menu. You have them, but you are all over the place and they are great tool - strongly recommended. It would be very nicety go trough the menu item by item from top to bottom and explain in your fashion. Then, based on that go and fly. Kind of more systematic approach. Stay well and safe.
