FTX DR8: My First Run and Thoughts
Hey guys , thanks firstly for joining me again , this time we're taking the New FTX DR8 that I've purchased out on its maiden voyage .
this video is more of a vlog style and I've got my daughter to video for me whilst we put the car through its paces , this will be more of a running the car in and getting used to it as its a lot heavier car than my Arrma 3s cars and then next video me might just send it to the moon , lets see what happens .
I had a blast with the DR8 it's a totally new driving experience 😎.
I'll be giving my thoughts and let you see how much of a animal this 6s beast is it certainly moves .

Welcome aboard! Much appreciated honestly , yeah picked up two Nitro Circus ramps that I'm planning to take to one of my favourite bash spots . Just don't have the confidence or should I say trust myself to send it lol 😂. I got to much mechanical sympathy. But once again really do appreciate you stopping by . You and me both! , It's a weapon 🔫 . I seen loads sending these to the moon 🌝 . Need to change a few things up first better battery straps and faster servo and few other parts on the car . Then launch off 🚀🚀🚀🚀

@@ChriswithaCrc Hi Chris , I will do very soon I hope , I bought a few cars off I guy who was selling up I actually bought every thing he had and I just haven’t had the chance to get them all out yet , I really got some unbelievable bargains, the Dr8 is brand new and I got it for around £80 , to many cars and not enough time to get them out mate , enjoy your cars mate it’s the best hobby ever , cars and trucks for every pocket age and skill what more could you want from a hobby really , stay funky mate ......

Just wanted to comment on your vids, I stumbled over your videos about 2 months ago and was very impressed. Like you I have the DR8 and your upgrades have been interesting ? I bought mine 2nd hand due to funds but then had to spend some time repairing the ‘goon’ owner of his damage, which when I bought the Rc we’re not identified. Well DONE, keep up the good work ? When are your next UPGRADES !! 🤔😀🤔🤙

Hey buddy , and welcome to the channel , thank you so much for watching , awesome that you picked up a DR8 there amazing trucks for sure so tough and fast . Puts some of the larger brands to shame for the money. Upgrades Im done as I sold mine recently to a friend he's got two now . When I sold it I regretted it for sure , do planning to get another , I might go full hog and upgrade as much as I can then . Thanks for watching , look forward to hearing from you Chris 🤙😎
Best Rc on the market runs 6s but brilliant on 4s its a wepeon i got a red ine

1st! That looks RAPID mate. Servo looks like it will need upgrading soon? Sounds a bit laboured when still? Awesome stuff. 👌

its stupidly quick mate to be fair . a real learning curve when using it thats for sure . and yes i agree with you buddy the servo is going to get changed as soon as the new on gets here . ive already ordered one .
The DR8 is a fantastic car for the money.

Hey man , Thanks for watching , Its a awesome truck for sure ........ Now ! If you have the room to run this truck i say go for it , the value for money is defo there and its bloody quick for sure . As for the Rival MT10 well they say its the best 3s basher there is so i would be tempted to go for that and it will be lighter and more places to run it . The DR8 is a stupidly fast and strong truck , but its also very heavy and because of its size you do need wide open areas to run it . Hope this helps you Chris . @@ChriswithaCrc I’ve gone with the mt10 chief but with an extra battery so I can look at getting the dr8 later on👍🏻 the in-laws own a campsite down Gower so I’m lucky to have a fair bit of land to mess about in🫶🏻 picked up 2 fix tracers for the kids for their b’days this week so will hopefully get a bit of play time in soon if the weather allows it👍🏻if your ever down this way give me a shout dude. Bash and a beer🦾🍻🍻

Hey Chris! Does this have a slipper clutch? I swear I hear some slight screamin like it couldnt deliver all power

Hey dude , no slipper clutch on this car at all , it's got a centre diff , it's meant to sound like that it's the transmission laying the power down 👇. Plus also it's all metal geared as well . It's got no problem with handling power it's very stable . Only thing I think is going to need doing is a thicker oil in the centre differential. Thanks for watching also 😎
