you need something, even like a bicycle bell or something. That's me being scared to death that a bike just appeared next to me. I didn't hear a single "beep beep", I'll buy it for you if i have to at this point!!! maybe yell like "heeeyyyy" or whistle or something. Gave me a heart attack i thought an animal was jumping out of the tall grass because i heard something right next to me

I love this videos. I wish I have some races like that in Portugal. I have a rm450 2007 converted to electric too.

So im in ftr as well and was thinkin about buying an electric bike to try out doing the harescrambles with, but the main thing that has held me back is the battery situation. Im trying to do research to become more familiar with everything but id like to talk to someone alittle more knowledgeable about the e bikes in the harescrables. Im looking to just buy one or even possibly build one. Where do you buy the motors and batteries at if i was to try to build my own?

Yeah the battery range is the tough part. I get the motor directly from QS Motor in China and the batteries are custom made.

@@electronracer i kinda meant, what power you were using and how much battery you used. Did you start to feel power losses or battery sag as the race went on. I think many people would enjoy a video like that.

About 18kw of power in this race. I swap batteries each lap. I do notice them lose power, some tracks more than others. In the last race in the mud (see video) it barely made each lap. This track wasn't as hard on it.

@@electronracer how long would you say it takes to do a lap? I’m starting a e-bike build next week

These laps were about 30 min and about 11.5 miles. I had about 20% left in my 42ah batteries.
