FTM Phalloplasty Things I Wish I Would Have Prepared For | Leg Update

I am 4 months post-op phalloplasty with Dr. Chen and thought I would give you an update on my leg graft area and also tell you a few things I wished I had prepared for before surgery. Hope this is helpful!

Thank you for a lot of these tips! I'm gonna have metoidioplasty, so some of the things you mentioned aren't gonna be applicable to me. The having to lie on my back aspect might be the most difficult for me, if not else cause I won't be able to control how I'm moving while asleep (I move a lot while sleeping). I'm thinking maybe keeping a pillow between knees while lying on the side could be helpful, if I absolutely can't lie on my back. I still have some thinking to do about how to manage healing time... but I think I'll be fine. About the bathroom issue, I have good control of my muscles in that area, so I can easily decide if I want to pee or poop first or do both at the same time. Good to know I'll have some use of that "skill" that I thought was completely useless!

I really love the way you are super honest about your journey. Do you plan to do anymore body building shows after your arm and leg heals? At one point in my very old life, it was my goal to compete. I really couldn't reach my goal because I am VERY estrogen, shall we say, dominated and couldn't get the size or get ripped enough to do a show. I did work hard, though. Just wondering.

All great things to think about. You mentioned a few things that I had not thought of that are applicable to my stomach surgery. I am going to be better prepared so I thank you. Your leg looks really good and I hope it fades completely

Does male hair loss happen within so many years of starting /upping T, as it would a naturally born male or is it just dependent on your age. I hope you understand The question. You've fine hair. I'm only asking for myself. So if I were to have gene for male pattern baldness and started t at 40, would i lose hair in line with my age or in line with my T introduction?

  • @Codytalks11

It mostly depends on your age/genetics. So if you started T at 40 you would lose it according to your age not your T introduction :)

Another question -- so it's very different from packing? You didn't wear separate pouch underwear when you were packing?

  • @Codytalks11

Oddly I didn't pack before bottom surgery. I never felt connected to a packer and made dysphoria worse for me.

+Lil Shey haha sorry I don’t know how to describe it because I would just be describing a penis. Eventually I might put a blog together with pictures but I really want everything to be finished before I put it all out there. I’m sorry to hear about your parents. Mine are religious too. They have come around with time, maybe yours will eventually to?

I couldn't/wouldn't sleep on my tummy when I was in the second half of my pregnancy. And I'm definitely a tummy sleeper too. It was like torture. Lol After I had my son, I immediately started sleeping on my stomach again, and it was heaven. Lol Different circumstances....but I can certainly relate. 😉💕😊

Hey Cody, why don't they take the skin graft for the phalloplasty from the leg instead of the arm. Thanks, I enjoy your channel!

  • @Codytalks11

That is one option that is called ALT phalloplasty, however it produces a bit more of an unpredictable size of phallus ( usually on the larger end ) and I am a small active guy so I didn't want to risk having it get in the way lol

Leg looks great. Why didn't the use leg skin for the penis? There's a lot of sensitive skin on the leg and then your arm would have been left untouched.
