I want to have top surgery, too, but my health insurance is refusing to pay. I just sent them more "proof" yesterday, I had all the doctors I ever went to write something about how I really really need this procedure, so I just hope that they will eventually pay for the surgery. Every time I think about this, I get so angry at those insurance people. In the end, they just have to pay even more for me than they would have if they had just payed the surgery the first time I asked. Now they have to pay all the doctors I had to go to to confirm my "transness", too. And the way they talked to me and what they wrote in their letter was just so mean. The doctor who will do my surgery read the letter and said I should take it to court. But if I had the money to pay a lawyer, I wouldn't waste a year of my life waiting for those people to grow a brain. Sorry, I get really pissed every time I think about that. What I really wanted to say is: I'M FUCKING JEALOUS!!! No, but seriously, I love your videos, looking forward to the next one. :)

Of course you don't understand what it is like to be gay or trans if you are neither of those. But if you just tell your friend that you are open to being educated about the topic and try not to be jugdemental, she will probably be a lot less scared. May I ask what makes you think that she wants to tell you something along those lines?

Ich bin Ben I showed her a video on buzzfeed I think I don’t remember and she said I wish I could be free to say that I asked her what she’s just ignored and she has been dropping hints but I don’t know I can’t be like tell me I don’t what her to be scared I guess

If she drops hints like that she might be testing out how you react, so she knows if she can be honest. I don't know your situation, but I guess my advice would be to drop hints yourself, if you watch videos like that again for example. You don't have to pressure her into telling you, just let her know that, if she wants to talk about it, you're not going to judge her.
