congratulations!!! I chose to not get any ED implants because I am waiting for better options available in the future and my sex drive is non-existent so it's pointless for me and I'm still waiting for my second stage and the dysphoria of not being able to STP is unbearable to live with and it's getting worst by day

The inflatable sounds like the better option. If I were in your shoes, I'd choose the same.

It will be so wonderful when they can come up with a device that's non-invasive, not so obvious and bodies like mine can handle having foreign stuff implanted. I've chosen no lower surgery just because I know my body, and it's SO sensitive that I can't do implants of any kind so far. I would like to see if they can grow one from our own cells some day if that would ever be possible, best outcome/least traumatic on the body for sure. Good luck and thank you for the video! :)

Thanks so much for sharing, Cody. Hearing your thought process is extremely helpful in my own weighing of these options. Do you recall what longevity Chen is quoting these days for the pump? Usually see 3-5 years and latest peer-reviewed article seems to put ED implants overall at about 36-40% removed or replaced by 4 years. Is that what Chen also says? Wish you the very best for stage 2.

Thank you! I need to double check on the longevity of it. I will ask and then confirm in another video! I want to say it is longer than that now but I am not for sure.

In Switzerland there's an implant that's specifically designed for transmen, I'm getting the ZSI 475 FtM. I don't know if that helps because it's not approved for the US, just thought I'd tell you^^. (I'm not from Switzerland either but from Austria btw) And about the pumping up thing: I think that can be easily done during foreplay or quite inconspicuously, like cisguys need to touch themselves sometimes to in order for them to get hard, so I wouldn't worry about that. Also, I heard that you just need a few squeezes and it's done :)

The 475 is great. Sex works just fine, great feeling for me and them. It can be a bit tricky if it's not pumped up all the way and/or the hole is very tight. But so far everything worked out in the end. It is a bit less rigid than a full bio erection I'd say, but it does last as long as you want so that's a plus. The skin around the prothesis doesn't get hard obviously, that's why it isn't quite as hard as bio erections, but it does create the feeling of a bio dick because the skin can move around. Pumping it up is done very quickly but you do have to be careful to fully inflate it but not overinflate it. It can make a very small squeaking noise but my boyfriend for example only noticed it the first time after like 8 months of having sex. So I wouldn't worry too much about that. The first few times it can take a while until you figure it out, I thought I was exceptionally inept at first but it's normal to struggle at the beginning but I got the hang of it very quickly when I was alone. In front of the surgeon it wouldn't work. Oh and he pressed it super hard and in a way that it would hurt and he said that it would always hurt and the others just got used to it, but when I did it alone the next day after he did it the first time it also didn't hurt at all. So you just have to do it the right way and it's not painful whatsoever. If you keep it inflated for a while it can start to hurt a bit though, but it's more like a pressure.

Success with your choice! I'm interested in following this journey, I stopped at phalloplasty. At first I wanted implants but I'm content now. The dysphoria isn't bad enough to go through the trouble in my case. I know about the implant in Europe you were talking about, they do it in my country (Belgium) but I haven't heard too many positive responses to it from people I know who tried it or have it. It's a permanently hard rod (bendable), it can rip through the head if you aren't careful or the feeling hasn't returned to the phallus. And it's possible a sexual partner can feel it and find it uncomfortable.

Okay so I’m scared to do phalloplasty and doing the skin graph but the pros of phalloplasty are what I want like STP, the size and aesthetic, but I’m just scared of the skin graph and the cons of what could happen to my arm I’m really scared of just the thought of the outer layer of my arm gone…I really want to know if it scared you too or not and what to do to prepare

That’s wonderful. What an incredible medical world we live in! I think you made a wise decision. Can I ask a question, you don’t have to answer if it’s too personal, but when you get aroused do you feel it in your penis? Similar to a clitoris? And is it just the nerve endings? I think someday they’ll come up with a way for blood to flow in to cause an erection. If they can transfer nerve endings, why not veins?

Cody_talks I think that is why I’ve never done urethra lengthing. At the time I transitioned it wasn’t successful in 70’s. And since I put the pump I haven’t quit having intercourse long enough to mess with ureatha! That’s good news for you too.

What is the reservoir for? I’m not being rude, nor trying to be. My brother is trans and we watch your videos together. Last night he broke down badly. He was yelling at me because I was born a male and he said it wasn’t fair. He even hit me a few times but my sons and I were able to calm him down. Your videos calm him as well.

i jusstt talk to a guy from YT. he has a semi rigid and ive talked too him. he does gym, go out etc . hess able to conceal it no problem.. the only thing he said hhes afrraid iss while at work because hes work in the medicall field and sometimes patients , he nneeds to get close to themm but ootherr than that, thatts it. he ssaid he didnt want to deal with the pump orr any malfunctions un future , so he went witth semi rigid.
