Thanks a lot for your videos! By learning from your videos, that oil paints are not so difficult to handle, and create really realistic effects, I made a big step in my paint work. Thanks!! Greetings from Belgium

Ive been battling modelers on the difference size makes when it comes to weathering. I love the acrylic pigment/jell stuff out there from ak and Vallejo. The problem is like you said, people just slop it on and think that's great. Same with weathering. You can see it on the models of Andy's easy 8 in 16th. The are some seriously messy models out there. I love that scale because it forces you to.be honest and patient. To really look into where mud and dirt go. As to your model? I love where you are going with it. You explaining how and why should help all kinds if modelers.

All the muck and weathering turned out really great Rick. Just one question... and I hate to be "that guy". Are you going to try and blend in the decal film as I can see it in the final photos. Sometimes a gloss coat or many applications of decal solvent can do the trick. Maybe you didn't see it. I know I can miss stuff until I see a photo and even then it may take a second set of eyes to see the error. Other than that it's coming along very nice.

Rick, I'm curious as to what camera & lens combo you use for your still photos that you show in the video? They are very detailed, nice and up close. And the model is looking very authentic and you achieved that look of realism in my opinion. Good work!!
