Presumably all the functionality will eventually come to non-sensor cars too.

Because smart summon can back up, we know fsd can too. It’s just not ready yet.

Needs to be a 20 mile radius instead of just 400 feet… super summon.

Once out of sight is enabled, shouldn't be a limit. It's "summon, supervised" for now.

And when the Tesla causes property damage or human injuty when it is out of sight of the owner, is Tesla Corp going to take responsibility for that?

@@DerekDavis213 Once Tesla says the "driver" is FSD, then yes. Clearly, you're not driving, FSD is. I'm not sure it matters, though. Either your insurance will cover it, or Tesla's insurance will. In either case, you're not responsible.

I just bought a 2022 Model 3 and it does have the ultrasonic sensor. Tesla gave me a free month of FSD, which included Smart Summons, but I was afraid to use it in a parking lot because the instructions said not to. I was tempted a couple of times, but I chose not to take the risk.

Summon being only 400 feet defeats the purpose if it was raining you would have still got wet.

What I mean is during the video he is standing outside in order to be in viewing distance of the vehicle. If it were raining he’d literally be standing in the rain waiting for the car to come to him which defeats the point. I counted and it took 25 to 27 seconds for the car to reach him. In that amount of time he could have just walked to the car and been the same amount of wet.
