Hey Chris Metz! (Go Mets!) Basic auto pilot has adaptive cruise and drives you around ALL curves… Not just site curves! It is not Lane keeping cyst like other cars… It actually will let you follow the lane and adjust your speed. And that comes with all Teslas

I’ve wanted an EV for a long time. I first drove a Tesla Model S 75D in 2022. It was nice but was 4+ years at the time of rental and battery degradation was very apparent but was still fun. Fast forward to July 2023, I bought a ‘23 Model 3 RWD. I live in SC and Tesla dealers are not allowed. Had to pick up in Savannah, GA. Since then I fell in love with it. Everyone at work then, and even now, ask me about my car and want to drive, which I’m happy to oblige. Cut to March 2024 when the new “Highland” performance was debuted, I had to have it. So I am currently waiting for my VIN. Ordered in early May. When my house was built in 2022, I had a NEMA 14-50 installed as a just in case scenario. Makes like Hell of a lot easier than going to gas station and/or using public chargers. It’s amazing. Elon, I hate the guy!

For Canada we pay twice as much for gas as compare to States side $1.6 per litre works out to be over $6 per gal and super charger still way way cheaper agreed with the way Tesla drives and regen slow down is a big safety the camp mode cooling and heating camera as security is another big one

Here is my take from someone who only supercharges since taking delivery of my refreshed M3 LR , hope this helps anyone on the fence. I knew what I was getting myself into and my assumptions were spot on. I live in a condo and it will be a couple to several years before they can install chargers for the community. I only work 3 days a week , 32 mi round trip and the occasional driving other days. I am able to supercharge once a week and it's still cheaper than my Corolla for the month. I supercharged the other day in the early morning when it is cheapest and it is .21 / kWh I don't go above 85 percent and I usually try to stay between 10 and 20. I was at 2 percent when I charged and went up to 85 percent and it cost me 14.07 and so far it has been 40 dollars and for the month it will be 54 still cheaper than my Corolla which was around 65-70 per month. I live in Phoenix and it seriously starting to feel like an over true story. I'm losing about 35-40 mi of range but that was true with my Corolla. Yes the heat does drain the battery mainly due to overheat protection activated. Before it got hot I was consistently able to charge between 15-20 percent. While I'm supercharging I'm able to do other things and it really goes faster than what it says. Hope this helps Phoenix AZ

A Camry Hybrid gets 630 miles on a tank of gas, and then 5 minutes to refill the tank. Compared to Tesla, Camry has higher build quality, a nicer interior, full dashboard, and a Turn Signal Stalk. Camry also has cheaper insurance and registration fees. Tesla cannot compare to that .

One of the joys of owning my Model 3 has been shopping online for little upgrades like center console trays, storage organizers and even interior trim enhancements. A fraction of the cost of legacy auto additions. While most legacy auto adders are cheap cosmetic things, most of my Tesla enhancements have been useful.

I've had my M3 refresh for about a month and only use superchargers because I live in a Condo. It's really not as expensive as you would think, and I live in Seattle. It's a lot cheaper than gas. Also, I'm one of those people who hate Elon, but I love my car. It's really a double-edged sword. However, the hate over the car isn't necessary.

Big one I learned buying my Tesla about a year ago is to use the referral code link. We had a referral code but thought we would be prompted to put it in at some point. Went through the whole process and never got asked. Called Tesla to see if we could provide the code and get the $ off plus other perks and got a “nope” response. Would have had to cancel the order and redo through the link, loosing our $250 non-refundable deposit. By that point I didn’t feel like going through that hassle. The other thing I learned - I REALLY like this car (SR RWD M3). Hopefully I’m still driving this car in 15 years. My 12 year old gen 1 Volt is still going strong and has been passed down to my teenage kids as a daily/school driver. Hope my Tesla holds up as well or better.

Bought my model 3 AWD LR last Friday and every time you are at an intersection someone wants to race you. The amount of people riding my ass is insane even though I'm in traffic with cars in front of me. The speed is crazy though. Definitely will have to watch it or I will get tickets. Mobile charger has been about 1.5% an hour, wall mounted charger is in the works. Luckily I'm not a commuter so not a problem.

I’m a four year 2020 Tesla Model 3 SR+ owner in the Memphis area ( middle America, where there’s not as many EVs as the big cities) , and I have resolved that there are 3 different types of people when it comes to Teslas and all EVs, first you have the people who know about them and love them, they look at you and your car with a certain respect, they smile, it give you a thumbs up, or just look🙂. Then there is the people who don’t like EVs, and Teslas, like you say they will race past you or cut you off, but mostly look at your car and give you the side eye 😒 . I think they feel like I’m getting away with something , and I need to be paying more money and buying gas and oil changes like they do 😄. But then there are my favorite people, the people who have no clue about cars or the car industry, no clue about Teslas, Bolts, Rivians, EV6, Mach-Es or even Taycans. The kind of people that probably can’t tell a EVs from a gas car, like they can’t tell a Ford from a Mazda. They just have no clue. They are my favorite people because they all will be the ones that will most likely find out about Teslas and EVs and make that switch. I had a guy roll up next to me at the grocery store in a brand new Civic ask me how I like my car. I wonder if he thought he made the wrong purchase. Icing on the cake in all this is the kids and teens, they look , point and drag their parents to look at the Teslas , I saw a young mother mouth to her little son looking at my car that “ we can’t afford nothing like that” as she dragged him away , wait till she pulls up the Tesla site and sees the lower prices…. 😁

Yeah younger people love my car. It is the muscle car type people that have a problem. Like I'm hurting them somehow. I had a guy ask if it used gas and electric. I'm like no it's electric. I have a theory though. I don't think they cared when evs weren't really a threat. But now with the rise of Tesla and other manufacturers. I think a lot feel threatened. Like guy I know works in auto repair and stuff and he was absolutely rude. So maybe he thinks evs will hurt his business? Idk. But I like my car. And I feel like that is all that matters. But for some reason people think they have let me know their opinion on it. Just let me enjoy my vehicle and you enjoy yours. I work in IT so I live new tech. And also hate dealerships. So the choice of Tesla was easy for me. Never realized the hate I would get. I have gotten positive too though. Like my sister n law wants my car. And my brother drove in it and wants one now. I think most of the hate comes from clueless people that have no experience with one.

People that dislike Teslas do so for very good reasons: - Build quality is not comparable to Honda or Toyota - range anxiety and charging hassles - no dashboard and no Turn Signal Stalk - insurance and registration are more expensive for Tesla - more frequent tire replacement. Expensive! - eventually a $20k battery replacement is needed

Let me say in the beginning, I am from Tennessee. While there may be Tesla hate in many places, as one who has homes in other places, I find this hate is particularly acute in the South. It seems to correlate with where there is strong trump support. I have not done nationally projectable research on the subject, but my real world observations support the thought. Let me go further out on the limb…I have not gotten the ‘evil eye’ from Asian people, Black, Latin or what I might suppose are Middle Eastern…..my Tesla is pretty tricked out so it gets noticed. I imagine this comment might engender some strong reactions but it is what I have seen….and people’s opinion of me….well LOL. I love your channel..no muss, no fuss, just useful information.

That is why I was fortunate enough to be able to pay cash for my refreshed M3 LR. I love the car by the way it literally puts a smile on my face every time I drive. If I was going to lease I would never do it from Tesla because unlike other car brands at the end of the lease with Tesla you don't have the option to pay the remaining owed on the car if you want to keep it !! So you have to give it back and for me that is a big fat no 👎🏻👎🏻 other than that I love my car, Tesla and will only get Tesla in the future 😎

I am not knocking the Teslaverse community, it just did not work for me. I rented a 2024 model X for a month because I was looking for a premium daily driver, but not sure. After the month was up I felt the tech was cool and the speed was a lot more than I expected over my ICE experience. I had already made up my mind to ditch ICE. It was the interior that left me underwhelmed and it felt so spartan under a glass roof that heats up in AZ sun without a built in sunshade. The UI is well executed, but not enough for the $80k+ price tag. I bought another American built EV SUV that checked all my premium daily driver boxes and have no regrets with 10k miles now under my belt.

TESLA OFFERS TOO FEW OPTIONS. HARDLY A LUXURY EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU'VE GOT FIVE UNINSPIRED PAINT CHOICES.

Agreed. Red is the only nice color. Tesla doesn't offer a nice White Pearl Metallic, or a nice Daytona Gray.

There is no such thing as a Tesla dealership. They are all called service centers.

Been driving a Model Y for two years, and there are dozens of things I don't know about it. I am in NC, and have not experienced any Tesla "hate". But the soros backed LEFT are sketchy crowd, and you never know whats around the corner.

The whole folks hating on Teslas started out with right wingers who are against EVs because they believe that these are being forced on them, and because early adopters tended to be green, climate change believers. From what I can tell, most modern day haters still fall into that group, even though Elon has shown his true colors, and is a right wing, conspiracy theory spouting moron more often than not (he’s also a genius, but the two can go together). Are there folks on the left who now refuse to buy Teslas because of Elon? Yes, there are. Are there many folks on the left hating on Tesla owners now? No. I live in a very left leaning part of suburban Maryland, and there are tons of Teslas here. There is no vandalism against Teslas in this county, period. I have a feeling what you’re seeing in this regard is unfortunately because of the state you live in. Please note that I’m a centrist, and I don’t agree with either party on much, so this is not meant to be an anti GOP tirade. However, as many mistakes as the dems have made and continue to make, one of the mistakes the GOP has made is to demonize EVs, or any clean energy (windmills cause cancer??).
