FS Thunderbolt 1000AT siren alert + attack | U of M West Bank | Minneapolis, MN

So back in April of this year, @JR13997 recorded the West Bank Thunderbolt from the 19th Avenue parking ramp. I decided to record it from the same spot, and I was not disappointed. This siren had failed for the monthly test in June so I was a little concerned it wouldn't do anything, but fortunately at 1:00 it roared to life. And yes, that's me freaking out you can hear when it first winds up. Despite being over 800 feet away, this beast managed to max out my mic, and the echoes on the attack signal were especially amazing. At times, you can also hear nearby Whelens.
Shortly after the test, the campus DSAs sounded in Westminster chime followed by a voice message. Unfortunately, I was unaware they were going to do that and had already stopped recording by that point.

Definitely. My personal favorite was the one on top of Patrick Henry School in Minneapolis but that one's long gone.

It will die eventually. Nothing ever lasts forever. One day something will eventually cause it to go down, whether it be a lack of parts, maintenance, or renovation of the spot its at.
