Unedited Twitch VOD of the "Frosty Planet Pack DLC Open Beta Sandbox"
Open Beta for the Frosty Planet Pack DLC! All you have to do is right click Oxygen Not Included on your steam library, then properties, then beta, then look for drop down menu to opt into the Frosty Planet Pack Beta on the Public Testing Branch. It's recommended to not continue an exisiting save without making a copy as the file will not be load-able outside of this Beta.
Sandbox Mode cause I couldn't waitt to see the Goodies! A Proper Colony Tomorrow!

Only one research receiver, it gives you a few starting research items that make the early game a bit more doable, though you unlock them through basic research as well. It also comes with a cute log entry. :) The new critters and plants are very cool. New dupe and critter temperature mechanic as well. Really makes you think differently about some aspects of the game. (and now I really *really* have to build that ice themed rec room with sauna) A practical issue I ran into is that buildings that are not made of snow/ice, start at 20C even when built from colder materials, so building planter tiles for plants that need negative temperature was a bit of a pitfall. Basically also means that you can't build anything from mercury as it'll insta-melt as soon as you build it. I hope that the devs will fix this.

im wondering if that means youre forced to build snow tiles to not run into that temperature issues- i really hope we can make snow somehow and not just rely on meteors/POI
