Celibate 7 years and loving it!! I actually 🚫 blocked a guy recently because all he spoke about was sex. Even after I told him I had no interest and my celibacy will not be broken with just any guy. Or just because a dude finds me attractive and wants to be intimate with me. I need for him to get to know me. Innerstand me. Respect me. Hear me. Listen to me. And be that person to allow me the opportunity to recognize the flaws within me that I don't readily see.

I'm so happy that he brought up the jealousy issue and him working on it because a lot of men feel this way towards multi talented and successful women. A lot of them often times will try to purposely not acknowledge and encourage that woman's gifts and talents due to their insecurities. That was a great discovery. Very good! Another good point was doing the self work, but when in a relationship, you now have to do couple work. Self work is great in addition to the couple work. Great video!!!

Respect is huge, if you love someone you would never purposely do something to hurt them. Always being available to hear out the other person and apologize when needed even if you may not understand why you are wrong but understanding the other person is hurting because of your actions.

As someone who believes in saving sex for marriage, I know exactly what you mean as far as some people thinking they can change your mind.. I remember this one guy I was cool with in college telling me at some point down the road how when I told him that initially he kind of had this "We'll see" mentality. And that was mainly because he had known so many women who said similar things but when it came down to it, they didn't actually stand behind that.. It was like it was just something to say.. To sound virtuous (I guess 🤷🏾).. I don't run into that as much in my 30s as I did when I was younger, Thank God! But it's still pretty ridiculous.. If a person tells you what they're about and you're not down for that, YOU need to move on. Don't pretend with the hopes of swaying them in a different direction, especially when you don't fully understand their logic/reasoning..

This is so good! Yes! And also something I’ve learned, while single and celibate, learning how to say sorry first and even after apologizing, not expecting an apology but rather doing it from a place of genuinity and allowing yourself to let go of something that has hurt you because odds are, you probably hurt the other person too...Which we humans tend to turn a blind eye to.❤️

Every time I think I’ve watched your best Vlog (and God know I enjoy them all) you take it up yet another level. There is always something so wholesome and honest about what you share that it has a cleansing effect on the high levels of fakery and pretence that pervades on Social media platforms. You two are a joy to watch and listen to and you are definitely on the right path. As you’ve figured out, arguments can be a positive part of a healthy relationship when you are prepared to show your vulnerabilities and communicate your feelings to you each other during and afterwards. It would be great to see both of you (collectively and separately) producing Podcasts at some point..when it is confident of course. You are both naturally effective communicators with strong ethics and positive values and imho I think you would ‘influence’ lots and lots of people. Continue to be blessed🦋🍀 ps: Love the way Saga made her presence felt tho lol

I definitely can relate so many people have asked me if we really going to wait until we get married yes. Celibacy allows the relationship to develop organically and your vision is crystal clear their is no sex to blur it and it showed me that this man really is digging me for me while denying his flesh out of respect and love for me .I been watching Maya for a very long time and have seen all her ups and downs and to see her here with Max and a mom it’s a beautiful sight to see .

You look so good Maya! 😍 Very important for him to say that he was madly in love with you and had to check his jealousy. I think that jealousy is the biggest downfall of this generation’s relationships.

This was very helpful. It's so beautiful how you guys are able to own up to your own personal flaws and are not afraid to share with your platform. I will say this has brought light to my perspective I have with myself. Thank you 💛

What a lovely and healthy place to share from. Thank you both so much for reminding us how valuable it is to be humble, caring and self-aware in our relationships. This video was focused on applying it in a romantic relationship (obviously, since you are a couple). I also find it's very applicable to all of our close relationships. NICE. Thanks again for sharing these insights.
