Wow.... 225 yards, that's short. I'm no scratch but I "think" (I don't have that particular stat for me) that I'm not far from taking 4 shots or less to hole out from that distance more than 50% of the time... But then again I might have a bias making me "forget" some of the shots/scenarios/reasons why I almost certainly do less. 🤔🤔

That's impressive! Even tour players average slightly over par on par 3s, which 225 would essentially be a long par 3. But that's on all par 3s!

Plus this data is from fairway lie rather than tee shot so there's always a little more variance with the tighter contact point of being on the ground. I also was surprised to see the PGA Tours cover of averages across the Par 3 to 5s. It's the 5s where they make their score, even the 4s performance on average isn't amazing for the best player in the world.... But it's consistently like it so that total adds up over 4 rounds 👍🏻

@@icetrey2468 We're talking 4 shots... So making bogey or better on long par 3, par or better on super short par 4, half of the time... Or making par on par 5 if you're 225 out after your tee shot.
