From Rock City To The Rocky Mountains!

A windy, Fall weekend turned into a beautiful exploration of the Rock City area of Montana, just north of Valier and along the Two Medicine River. You should see this place! Then we headed into the Rocky Mountains for some comfortable camping amidst the amazing beauty of the mountains themselves and also the Teton River. This is a great place to visit because of the nearby recreational opportunities for all sizes and types of RVs.

Getting out on the road is what Linda and I love to do with our converted cargo trailer camper. We're part time nomads and the nomadic lifestyle suits us to a Tee. Whether your RV is a camper van, camp trailer, travel trailer, motorhome or just a car and a tent, there's going to be something interesting for you in the videos we produce. Back roads and overlanding are part of what we do while exploring the western states for beautiful, peaceful and sometimes remote places to camp on BLM and National Forest land (public land). Taking care of ourselves as much as possible and doing our own repairs is a must because we travel on a fixed income and a limited budget. If your into being off-grid and boondocking, or doing dispersed camping whenever possible then you'll appreciate the discussions on batteries, solar panels and solar chargers or power stations and 12v refrigeration. Come on along, we're happy to have your company!

Rick, a friend and myself drove out of Alaska in February of 82' when I changed duty stations to Georgia. That is 1982, not 1882. We entered the States out of Canada at a crossing in Montana. It was the evening and already dark. Snow was every where. The wind was blowing so hard it was almost a complete whiteout. I found out real quick that the weather striping for my driver's door in my 75' K5 Blazer needed replacing. I had built a plywood framed wall with insulation between the seat backs and the rear cargo area before the trip out from Fairbanks to keep the heat up front. That worked well enough, except the door side of my left leg was rather chilly in that Montana wind.
