From Pulling The Engine Out To Learning How To Do A Valve Job.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Traded a mud toy jeep that did run for this one that I thought was going to be a simple fix. Wasn't at all in the shape I was hoping for but I had to pull the engine to check it out which leads to a full re-build. I only re-build the heads in this video. Just days at my job. Hope you enjoy and learn something!! Thanks and comment ideas!

I understand both of aspects and used to use your way, now that I've gotten older and have gotten tired of doing things multiple times, I'm with your brother now. Anyway, I really enjoy watching your content. You doing a good job man.

Same thing happened to mine. I was literally driving it to work and it quit running. Thought it was an electrical or fuel issue at first. Nope, dropped the valve on the driver side head.

have a 2002 ram 1500 with the 4.7. It was good til upper radiator hose blew and needed head gaskets. That was 8K miles ago, now at 186K, will see what we can get out of her. Truck is a bit heavy for the 4.7.

Ive had some high miles on 4.7 one 275k and one was 320k heard they dont like if you dont keep up on the oil changes. The one i did have to replace the valve lash tensioners. But i like them good motors not a tough as a 4.0 though.

The 4.7 in my Dakota has 250k miles and still runs like brand new. I changed the timing chains, tensioners, lifters and injectors at 200k miles. I religiously changed the oil on it every 3000k miles since i owned it.

I got a WJ with the standard 4.7 as my first car, I bought it knowing that it had an issue with the valves, this was before I knew of the common issue of the seats dropping, engine's been sitting in a crate for over a month, engines are darn expensive to fix and my heads are mangled

Hey Dex, I'm a fan of yours in Australia and I'm driving a 1995 XJ Grand Cherokee 4.0l I6, I am curious as to a couple of issues with it, 1. when Braking going down any steep decline it gets the death wobbles, 2. when starting it I have to wack the fusebox, I'd pressume that'd probably just be a short in the wiring or a faulty connection somewhere? also the accelerator is sloppy as all hell, practically touching the floor
