From convicts to coastal charm: The story of Port Macquarie

📍WHERE: It is located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, about 390 km north of Sydney, and 570 km south of Brisbane. It's in the Port Macquarie Hastings Council LGA.

❓WHY: To enjoy this lovely tourist destination, to explore is picturesque landscapes and to discover its history.
📅☀️WHEN: Last days of summer, perfect!
👉 WHAT WE DID: 🚶‍♀️Port Macquarie Coastal Walk is a cracker - beautiful scenery. Takes you from the city waterfront all the way to quaint Tacking Point Lighthouse. Its about 9km and most of its not difficult. Cafes along the way for a break.
🏛Port Macquarie Museum was very interesting and well curated.
️🎨Lovely exhibition at Glasshouse Port Macquarie (check out the tourist office while youre there).
🪦Historic cemetery in the middle of town is well worth exploring.
🌳🌴Sea Acres Rainforest Centre is not be missed. Lovely.
🍽WHERE WE ATE: We enjoyed a delightful evening at 🍺 Moorebeer Brewing Co. They are in the industrial area - but it was well worth the effort. Great music, great beer, great burgers.
🍷🥘The Stunned Mullet was a culinary delight. Our meal was superb!
☕Little SHACK was great for morning coffee break overlooking the Hastings River.
