Scott Hahn is so convincing in his apologetics defending Catholicism and I thank God that the Hahn fam has found the right home in the RCC

Wow, it was a similar experience for me. I am so thankful for the catholic teaching regarding contraception - and other topics. I was recieved into the catholic church 4 weeks ago and my confirmation will be next sunday. Praise God.

"The life giving power" that is a beautiful remark on the road to sacrament. Nice seeing you again Elizabeth, thanks for doing this video I'm catching up. I was my niece's sponsor for confirmation 2 weeks ago. She picked St Maximilian. Who chose a life of purity and martyrdom after the blessed mother appeared to him.

A very wide ranging review Elisabeth. You certainly touched on many deep topics in this video! This book is one that is on my 'to be read' list and you have encouraged me to get around to reading it sooner rather than later. On the question of Mary I'm reminded of something that C.S. Lewis said about Her. Catholics honour her too much while Protestants honour her too little. I don't think I quoting him directly but it is something like this. I suppose he was simply stating that the place and role of Mary will continue to be a place of contention between Catholics and Protestants. Sadly this is still a fact.🙂🙏 Anyway once again thank you for a great review! In this season of Easter may our Risen Lord continue to bless and watch over you. God Bless!

Fab work, Anna. May I ask you to consider summarising & reviewing Pope Benedict XVI's Jesus of Nazareth trilogy, please? Ratzinger's Eschatology & The Spirit of the Liturgy are deeply rich, beautiful spiritual treasusrs also. Only a suggestion. Keep up your fine work. God bless, Fr Fergal Cummins, Ireland 🇮🇪 🙏 💙

Luke 8:10. Jesus does not have to clarify figurative versus literal. He purposefully avoids it in some instances. The Bible, in itself, stands credible; John 1:1.

  • @BiblicalBookworm

Yes, that is correct to some degree. However, Jesus usually clarified when he meant something figuratively and in this case he was explicitly asked to clarify and instead of clarifying he doubled down on what he had said previously.

@@BiblicalBookworm My current understanding is that Jesus was speaking to the Jews, whose fault (1 Corinthians 1:22-24) was in seeking confirmation in an expected way and refusing anything other-- in this case words. Jesus doubles down to clarify; not to remain unclear. It is the sin of those who were listening and not hearing due to their refusal to accept God how He chose to reveal Himself.
