In our quest for seeking out a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle, we made a plan that includes zero waste living, tiny home living and full-time travel. We considered buying an RV, looked at trailers and airstreams but settled on doing a bus conversion for our off-the-grid, tiny house on wheels. We bought a 1996 MCI 102 D3 coach bus and with the Bus Demolition and Interior Shell complete, we turned it into our Tiny Home on Wheels and are now traveling!

I live here. You did an absolutely terrific job of showcasing our world. There is more to see only minutes away from the campground. They didn't show you the railroad museum next door until the very last minute. You can ride the railbus they showed. Grass Valley is five minutes up the road and a great place to visit. The culture life here is awesome. Our county fair is probably the best in the state.

I grew up in Nevada City and it truly is a wonderful place to be from. Enjoy your visit!
Who can blame for falling in love with this place? You two have really made us want to travel more and especially delve into historic towns like this. Love your videos.
When I clicked on this video, I 1) somehow knew it would be Nevada City and 2) knew it would be the Inn TownCampground. My mom was housed here aftering being evacuated during the Jones Fire in 2020, and the staff were fabulous! (I live out of state in Idaho and tracked here down to this place via neighbors). Although our family residence is in Nevada City, I still hope to come out to California and car camp or go glamping here one day! Job well done with the video! PS...that suspension bridge you walked over is the Deer Creek Suspension Bridge and part of the Nevada City Rancheria (Nisenan Native American tribe) historical homelands. There should be some plaques denoting their importance and history as well!
Love my little town, I'm glad you two enjoyed it! It really is a magical place nestled in the mountains.
I haven't camped for a number years now, but camped a lot as a kid and with my own kids in later years. Seeing this video makes me want to do it all again.....specially in Nevada City

There's a lot to love in this video! First of all, if ever I was to go glamping, it would be there... Plus the gorgeous scenery and hiking to town through the woods, the random goats, not to mention your stellar work filming/editing/scoring the burlesque show scenes, it was fantastic... Your videos are always a treat!❤

I have been following you all from the beginning. I am a retired Trailways / City bus mechanic, and am very familiar with MCI buses. They made them to last a million miles or more , so with proper maintenance it should serve you well for years. If you ever find yourselves in eastern TN, there is a KZreadR called "Bus Grease Monkey" who specializes in vintage bus repair. Love cats, so watching yours is a pleasure. Stay safe. Love that!
This video randomly came up on my feed and I live 12 min from this campground and had no idea it was there, let alone that it was rated #1. It’s so interesting to see people’s perspective and reaction to visiting a place that I’ve grown up in. It kind of gives a new perspective to a place that I’ve always just been used to and seen as “normal”. I was at some of the places you showed just last week for a thing they do every year in downtown called Summer Nights. My mom and I were actually wondering about those Fezz boxes!
@Rehabit8
11 ай бұрын
So we googled the Fezz boxes afterwards. A local author wrote a kids book about adventures with his dog Fezz in Nevada City. They held some event where kids walked the route Fezz does in the book and at each box they got to use the stamp in the box to stamp their book. So cute!
Thanks for coming to see us. And thank you for showing there is more to our state than what you see on tv. No Min!!!. All the love. - former bay area guy, now raising a family here. ✌️

You are lucky to find such beautiful locations, the scenery is fantastic and there is so much to do and see, not far from the town and the shops. for a moment I thought you were going to adopt another cat, the views were awesome and the trails were very good, but do you think they would be suitable for people with disabilities? I walk with a stick as I suffer from back pain all the time
@Rehabit8
Жыл бұрын
Oh I wanted to adopt that kitty! 😆 Don knows he has to pull me away from all the kitties I meet otherwise we will end up running a cat sanctuary in the bus! Although that kitty looked well taken care of so it was easier to say goodbye. The trail from the campground to town was very easy. The trail to the suspension bridge was also an easy trail but there were some steep moments (though very short and not strenuous) 🤔 you’d probably be better off looking up what others say on all trails or asking a local before doing it

Hi Bonnie!
Nice place to visit but not so great to live here. The schools are atrocious and do not properly prepare our kids for college. Lots of pot amongst the youth and very few fun things for them to do. It's definitely a town for those over 70
