Pauly is amazing.. He absolutely saved this horse. Even though she was 20 years old, you all took time and helped her out, giving her all the extra time she needed to heal from the abusive home she came from. I can definitely tell why she was part of an ongoing investigation. Who can let a horse get into such an appalling condition? As Pauly would say, "People suck.!"

Glad you were able to release the footage with Halo, hopefully that means her past 'captor' was prosecuted and that was successful, but I do know how that often goes, and anyway it just never works out to make ppl suffer at the same level of suffering they caused. Have to mostly be happy that the horse is no longer in their care and hopefully someone is monitoring that they don't have any other animals. Hopefully that abcess finally blowing out along with repeated treatments and improved angles will also let her improve in behavior during farrier visits, who knows. Glad they have the stocks just in case, as we need Pauly to stay alive, his content is a treasure.

Any of Steve Young videos are awesome! Oh you don't want to stand still, no worries, we'll move you, with quality, until our idea becomes their idea. Lots of groundwork, leaving them on a positive note so they can think about it. We move their feet - it's all about the feet, right!?! No eyeballing them, no treat giving, no unrequested forward motion - my space is everything! Love the videos where he works with the horses right before the farrier comes so the farrier, usually his son-in-law, doesn't have any issues. Hope that helps.

You guys are so awesome - poor Halo, she had it real bad. I love how concerned you all are, doing your utmost for her. Must have been painful as well. Will be interesting to see the change in her - so terribly thin, but also how she conducts herself in the future - a half year is a long time. I can imagine she will be a fine horse after that time. She has a bit of learning and socializing most probably - what a bad time she has been through. Are horses like dogs etc, in that they live in the now, or do they always remain perhaps a bit skittish, depending ofc what they have been through. I mean, dogs just want to be loved, no matter what they have endured, they still want/need it somehow, but as flight animals, how different are horses? I can imagine they accept fast the disabilities they have and best try to continue, but how is the emotional side of things - soppier it depends on the horse too, and the trainers ofc - you are all so fantastic with your animals - you are my favorite horse rescuers - just how you all are, how you do things, such fantastic teamwork. You have usually a lot of animals there, but no one, anyhow comes too short- so close knitted, you‘re just all fantastic! Love to watch you all. You sure have some funny obey Meckmack is a real character- Happy was hilarious not moving as you were astride of her, leaning from left to right, it was so funny. Loved Thelma‘s eyebrows, that looked so dam cute! Love watching Pauli, he has so much wisdom and is so good with the equines, an awesome farrier etc, as he knows and does an awful lot, more than just his average work, he incorporates all his knowledge, always in the horses interest. Love your Vets too, love how they talk and ask the horse if it’s ok to work on it, etc. The whole lot, just fits together so well, like an English watch lol. I‘m always showing my appreciation for your work with the equines, can’t help it, it has to be said each time - you‘re all just fantastic! Your hubby as well, Nate is great - quiet and so peaceful, always so calm and doing all he can to help. A great team! 🧚🏼‍♀️💕

Utter bull💩..they were obviously aware of the Humane Society investigation and decided to offload her but l imagine that they were told they had to 'fess up' where they had taken her...poor thing..Happy didn't want to move with Rae on her did she😂..sorry but that was soo funny..Rosebud and Thelma are lovely..and Merrimack is one firecracker of a character even without his boy berrys...😂😂he will need A LOT of patience when and if anyone wants to take the ornery little dude on...🇬🇧💞👏🐐🐴🇬🇧🇬🇧🐎🐎🐎🇺🇸

Dr Kristen and Pauly have the patience of saints!!! Not to mention your staff!! The audacity of some people to abuse and neglect a horse that badly deserves jail time!!!! Poor Halo to have lived in those conditions for that amount of time. I’d like to see that owner go without proper health/dental care and wear the wrong size shoes for years. Let’s see how they’d feel and act. Thank you Pony Tales for the love and support you’ve shown to Halo and all the other precious souls in your care. I’m sure it feels like a thankless job sometimes, but we do notice and APPRECIATE everything you do for these AMAZING creatures that God has entrusted to us. God bless you all for taking care of these horses and helping them get a second chance at living, hopefully they all will go to loving homes where they will be wanted, loved and taken care of properly. An old saying I know of … no hoof no horse, and many times this is so. Thanks to your farrier, these horses have a better chance to be able to walk more normally. Miracles do happen, Halo is actually beautiful, she has progressed well from where she once was. Oh, just wanted to say, if people get the wrong type of farrier, they can actually harm more than help a horse with hoof problems. I remember hearing of one many years ago who did sloppy work on horses hooves, he was banned from doing any more of that type of work. 👍❤️🙏🏼

Good to see Dr. Jim. Nate is just a jack of all trades! He is unbelievable working alone trying to get the vet barn built. You all work so hard for the horses. Wow Halo is really in bad shape in just a year?

At least these two Percherons are not all skinny. I didn’t look at their feet but at least they’re not all skinny looking. can you imagine what halo would’ve been like if she would’ve been taken care of since she’s even in good shape as she is with those feet. You can’t get mad at Halo for moving around. That must be just torment for her although it sure it feels better it’s just like so odd for her poor baby do a good job Polly I know you will. Look at Halo’s sweet face.

Likely too late, but it can be helpful to run a clean paint roller over the paneling to make sure its pressed down to the glue. A low nap one on a good metal frame.
