Frogs and their calls

Amphibians are currently the most Threatened Class of vertebrate on Earth, with 32% of species Red Listed as Critically Endangered, Endangered or Vulnerable. In total, 43% of species globally are experiencing population declines. The EWT’s Threatened Amphibian Programme (TAP) aims to address a growing need in South Africa for the involvement of the Non-Governmental sector in frog conservation.

If you play this video at half speed and pitch shift it down an octave, you get something similar to what some dinosaurs would have sounded like. Dinosaurs did not have vocal cords or syrinxes, so they were not able to make complicated sounds like birds and mammals can. The sounds made by reptiles and amphibians are the best sources to draw from when imagining what they sounded like.
