A few years ago I worked at a nursing home I was sanitizing hand weights for the residents and I heard this song playing in the other room on the radio and I thought to myself "Wow this song is from Fritz the Cat"!

I'd like to know who animated this particular scene. Bakshi used several veteran animators from the 1930s for his first films, including Norman McCabe, Manny Perez, Jim Tyer, Dick Lundy.

It's only in my adult years that I got to appreciate the works of Ralph Bashki. His admiration for Black culture and the American entertainment history. Always dig AMERICAN POP and its Pre-MTV sensibilities. Before the Internet, it was always cool to sneak a peek at films like this, COONSKIN, HEAVY TRAFFIC, and other great adult animated features when they made the rounds on late night cable television during the 80's! Great take on pop culture seen through the lense of an outsider, couldn't even get away with this type of material in 2021...😎🇵🇷🇺🇸📽🗽🦂

This movie was a big deal in my teenage days in the late 80s, i was a big animation fan and I had just discovered pot. It's a movie I watch every now and then when I'm feeling nostalgic. When I heard the stereo version of this song it took me right back and I had to make this. I'm so happy that my effort paid off with you enjoying it. It means everything to me.
